i lost to a freaking honda?!

i usually ride my zx10r but yesterday, i decided to take the zx6r. so im riding it around tossing the bike around. and i see a little red civic completely stock looking no body kit, just a front mount intercooler, come up on me. and now im about to get on the service road, next to i-35. and im at a light. and he pulls up next to me. and i look at him, and he looks at me, and nods so i nod back. and the light turns green and i start to go.and we pull off real slowly. and i decide to go w.o.t. as soon as i get across the intersection. and as i pass the intersection, i punch it. and i hear a turbo. and i look over and this FREAKING HONDAs right with me. by now im like wtf?! and we get up to about 65-70 now. and he pulls ahead by a car. and he stays like that till about 130mph. and we both let off. and after this i see him pull into a gas station, and i ask decide to pull in, i ask him whats done to that little thing, and he said turbo k swap or some shit. and he laughs and just says "its just a slow ricer man". and we start talking, and he owns a 99 turbo formula too! he told me hes always been a car man, and he will build whatever he gets his hands on. and he loves boost. I just think its a shame a F-body guy would own let alone build a stupid honda.

I have never lost to a car, and it kills me for it to be a honda to be my first lost.

its the engine out of the acura rsx type s and civic si. like 200hp stock. probley the most expensive honda sway

Good death. It doesn't take a whole lot of power for a Civic to be quick, and assuming this one was running a built K20 and a lot of boost it could have been real fast. Gotta look out for the stock looking ones.

yeah 200 hp stock...but with built and sleeved blocks and decent size turbo on pump gas those things can put out some very decent 450-500 whp...and in a go-kart sized car can equal some impressive times and trap speeds as long as the swap is done right...I wouldn't trade the SS for the world but they make some damn fast sleepers if you do it right.

Nice Death! K swaps are very fast. i had a k20a2 RSX-s and it was quick for what it was. and when you put that into a civic that is lighter and then boost it they are very impressive. And dont worry i seen a guy get yanked by a Cobalt and he was riding a gsx 750.

you gotta watch out for the stock looking ones you can usually tell the honda guys who know what there doing when its not all riced out, and at least he ownes an f-body. good death.

yeah and the sad part is knowing my luck the next time we meet and im on my 10r he will probably be in his turbo formula, and beat me haha

zx6rs are slow. I bet the Honda had around 380-400whp. Sux you didn't have the power to put him in his place.

yea but thats my track bike, i take to Hallet, to dominate some turns.

if i had my 10r id def. slap him in his place. then hed go get his formula and probably slap me in my place. haha

OK DEATH The K20A2 and the K24 are the two powerhouse engines the k20a3 only puts out 160hp stock. The K series engines are very responsive to bolt ons in this case bolt on +built+boosted+light civic= FAST. Well at least he has a boosted formula

That's a great attitude to have. He's not an "F-body guy," he's a car guy. And last I checked Hondas were cars.
