I believe in his case it is an obligation of debt he acquired after the separation. So I don't believe she can touch it, such as the case when I got divorced. I could be wrong, don't know if things have changed down there in this regard since I moved away.
Besides, after selling the Ford because of the divorce, I believe he is way smarter than that to take the risk of loosing it like that.
