Continuing on to part two of the most kickass night of racing I've ever had, I decided after my luck of running into the Lightning and Vette that I'd swing another loop and see if anything else was out. Sure enough, just as I was coming up on the turnaround, I saw a GT500 and two more Mustangs go by the other way. I swung the turn around and hauled ass to catch up and see what was up.
MODS FOR BOTH CARS AT THE END OF THIS POST
GT500 RACE
First I went by a mid 90s GT, then a new style Roush, then went by the GT500. I moved over two lanes to slow up and the GT500 pulled up next to me. We slowed to about 60 which is good for me in third. No beeps, we just both punched it fairly even and he walked away HARD. I let off at the top of fourth and he had a solid 4-5 cars on me anyways. At this point I knew it was pullied because I'd raced a pullied one previously and it pulled on me pretty much exactly the same. I wanted another shot so I got up next to him and we both slowed to about 45 this time, top of second for me. I punched it just as he did and he shot out hard, especially because of my quick shift to third. He then proceeded to pull the same as the first race, about 4-5 cars by the top of fourth.
ROUSH 427R RACE
I went by the GT500 and gave him a thumbs up, but while I was pulling in fourth during the race I noticed that there was a car behind me that wasn't falling back at all, so I moved over and sure enough the Roush pulls up next to me. We basically did exactly the same races as with the GT500. First we went from about 60 mph in third gear. We both punched it and he jumped out pretty hard on me, then proceeded with a steady pull to maybe 2-3 cars by the top of fourth where we let off. We slowed up and went again from about 50, but it ended up being too high for second for me because as soon as I hit the gas pedal, it tapped the limiter and I had to shift. He jumped out hard again and proceeded a steady pull to 3 cars or so.
MODS
We ended up all pulling off the exit and talking for a while. Turns out the GT500 was pullied with some supporting mods and put down 521rwhp before it was even broken in fully, so it's probably putting out a bit more now. He also said it trapped 124-125 late last year. The Roush was an 07 and he had just upgraded to the new Roush TVR blower. He didn't have dyno numbers but he said the car weighs around 3,800 pounds and he estimates real high 400s to the wheels. Based on the weight and how he pulled on me, I think he's probably right.
Overall, it was an absolutely kickass night and everyone was very cool. I'm sure I'll see all these guys around and it looks like we're all heading up to the same rental in the not too distant future, so that should be fun. Good times.

Sounds awesome, just like the other post. There is a guy here with a stage 3 roush, that he swares came from them with 415rwhp and can outrun a c6z06. I just let the guy talk, cuz as far as I know the stage 3 roush has a v6 blower and 415 at the crank and runs really low 13's. I don't know anything about the 427r's though. Must be some bad mothers. Good runs man, and x2 on the camera.

Great runs PSM! It's nice to see someone buy a Roush and then mod it up and beat the hell out of it. Those 427R's are beautiful cars, and with that blower upgrade are just plain badass. We'll have to see how they run at the rental (speaking of which, I better get my ducks in a row because I'm not missing that, lol).

this might be the understatement of the year but you really need to get a camera setup for your car. i still love reading your posts though.
Haha, that's what I've been told!

Yeah, it seems like that new Roush blower does wonders for those things. Damn those Stangs love the boost.

It definitely was a great time. I don't care about winning or losing as long as I get to see some nice cars and I get to go WOT. It always helps if the other people involved are cool, as well, which they were.

We're definitely in prime territory for some nice cars. And yeah, you better get your car ready because I'm curious as hell to see how you do against that GT500 when we all get up to the rental.

Yeah, I think they're a VERY nice looking car, great interior, and it's sick how well they react to mods. They're just very heavy and even the owner was saying that.

If I ever get one, the first mod I will do is finding a way to strip 500-1000lbs out of that fat sumbitch. No car should weigh over 3600lbs...
Respectable deaths dude, You do tell some great stories. I thought of buying a GT500 but the weight was a big reason I got the Mach. It takes alot of HP to overcome that weight.

Well, I lined up against the GT500 and it wasn't pretty for him. Little revenge for PSM, lol. Honestly though, if PSM had lined up against him yesterday then he would have beaten it also. The TVR blown Roush ended up being the faster of the 2 stangs by alot.

Thanks for the revenge kill! Yeah, he was on street tires I believe but I don't think it would have made much of a difference for you. But even I was running better times than him yesterday, even though he was out trapping me. He's gotta get some sticky tires! The Roush is just plain sick.

Yeah, they definitely are sick and VERY nice cars inside and out. They just look mean (if a little porky).
