You do understand that Ford dominates at the track right? I'm talking sanctioned events with real racers...not internet clowns. There's really no
arguing that.
fastest lsx powered car i know of is paul majors corvette and that thing has enough trouble getting down the track without catching on fire or tagging a wall.

You won't catch me saying anything bad about his ride, the Ohio boys, etc...they are nasty. But the Ford's dominate.

I can't believe you are really trying to debate me on this.

im not saying anything bad about the ride. i got to see it in action about a month ago when he was testing at NED with the guys from DMC chassis. i just know that they have been having trouble getting the car down the track this year.

I hear what you're saying. I was just going on record so guys know I wouldn't question those cars. They are the real deal.
might just have to go to track tomorrow and if he is there get video of the run so then we can really

Yes but track results and the auto industry do not necessarily share a symbiotic relationship. What I mean to say is that just because one tin can is cheaper and easier to mod (due to it's great availability and aftermarket ie: foxbody)than another doesn't mean that they were equal vehicles originally. Internet clowns help keep this site what it is btw.

im not even gonna take the time to read that entire post. the sole reason for my post was to bust scotts balls.
What?!!! You bastard, I spent some time on that one lol. Yeah bustin' balls is good fun sometimes on here. All in all though I don't really care as long as we're talking good ol' domestics.

i can tell you 1st and foremost there is nothing cheap about building any car to run in outlaw 10.5, super street outlaw, xtreame street or drag radail. those cars consist of 6.50 to 8.5 times at 170-210+mph. the argument could be made that more people that run those classes just chose to run ford vehicles and powerplants but thats what seems to work and hold up at those power levels. not saying that people dont build gm's to run in that class but as Unit stated Ford dominates those classes.

its allright. if you stick around long enough you will realize that not all of us ford guys here are out to ruin your website or cause trouble.
lol does anyone else think its hilarious this thread went from a simple LS1 swapped 3rd gen beating a poorly driven GT500, to an all out ford vs. gm debate? i guess its bound to happen but its hilarious..
Most street driven Ford Mustangs are slow. I can't mention how many times I've seen LS1 F-Bodies dominate GT's and 03-04 Cobras. I know there are some Slowbras out there the are fast but usually the LSX based cars dominate the Mustakes.
