The F-body has been affordable for years now. The problem is not the car, the problem is guys that get them, think they are fast and get online telling guys that have had MUCH faster cars what it takes to go fast. reminds me my buddy was driving down baseline in his ford probe and a sentra ser pulled up next to him and started revving.
so they run and my buddy can here turbo spooling but just absolutely smokes this guy. they pull over to chat and the guy is so confused and says "I don't get i even got a turbo" my buddy asks to check it out so genius pops his hood and there is in fact a turbo there, a nice t3/t4 setup......but its all the piping that's NOT there that is the strange part. motor was still running off factory intake and the kid had no idea why his car wasn't able to beat a ford probe. so my buddy says..I love this part.....your turbo is broken dude! I'll give you $150 for it right now!!!!
too bad the kid declined and said he was going to try and get his money back from where he bought the kitstupid people

I feel for this guy, he obviosly just wanted a faster car and ended up ripped off! Much like a lot of "know nots" do. I blame the people who work on these cars and actually can sleep at night selling someone garbage work. Would have been funny to see his face though I admit lol.

Well imo speed and how fast a vehicle is, is relative to the situation and to the individual's experience. I mean everyone here talks about how fast 8 seconds is but if you were running what Mr. Force does, you'd feel like that was ass slow! For me, someone who doesn't go to the track (since it's only open like once during the summer ) 12 seconds IS fast! Compared to the 16 second passenger cars on the street all around me, I'm effin' fast! I don't want to be so "fast" that my daily driver costs me twenty dollars just to get over to work. I'm just saying it's all relative, and once someone hits elevens, then elevens aren't that fast either. Drive a beater around for a little while and then get back into your slow 13 second car and DAMN!!! Best sotp increase by far.

I'm the guy with the black 5.0 with the red stripes that kept running 15s. My motor was knocking bad and just plain crappy. I lost loads of power. Also only got 4 runs since the knocking took its toll and blew a hole in my lower manifold near the t-stat.

Haha. I was getting raped by everyone but figured since I'm stock except for the full MAC exhaust.
I'm hoping to go this friday and see how I run now that everything is fixed and properly running. Hopefully at least a low 14. And then the Mustang day at Speedworld is coming up and for that, I'll be bringing the bottle.

Haha. It took a lot of work to get it like that. When we bought it, it had a tree growing through it and more rats than a london sewer. Plus spiders, wasps nests in the visors, and a beehive in the corner. Whole damn ecosystem in there. Body was straight though.
