I haven't found one that could even stay in the same zip code w/ me. Once rolling a new SS is going to walk any Mustang GT without significant power adders.
Il race you...you have about 25-30 more hp than me but il stay in the same zip code as you say.....me you from a dig-110 sound good

I'm sure from a dig you could hang around. From a roll I doubt you'll be there long. My car trapped 110 w/ just a lid before the LTs. I've been out of the street scene for a few years but I'll run you if you want to.

I my self raced a 2010 Black SS camaro. I was in my 99 Z28 and was very disappointed when i caught up to him with out even red lining my car once. I have a lot of bold on's though and was running 93 octane.
In my experiences, on the street, and stock for stock, I have yet to see any evidence that the New Edge GTs give a "hell of a run" to LS1s. Of course, that phrase is relative. They do give better runs than the '99-'04s. I've run three of them, owned by acquaintances, from digs and rolls, and pulled them all fairly easily from any speed. My car is also an A4 that is stock, save for a Vigilante and a K & N FIPK. FWIW, I was totally stock when beating 2 of the 3 GTs I mentioned. The 3-valves are definitely an improvement over the 2-valves, but in stock form, it's the Machs that give a "hell of a run" to the LS1s.
il be the first to tell you that my car was a dog stock....and there is NOWAY in my mind that a stock S197 will run with the new SS..but yeah il run you and i agree with what you said from a roll i would stick around till about 80 or so..but the LS cars have always been good at the top end...thats why i loved my 02 WS6

You either raced the worst driver in the world or a V6. The LS3 cars are trapping anywhere from 107-111 bone stock. He should have pulled you easily with your mods.
Yes. Good kill to the OP, regardless of which version of the new Camaro it was. Slower cars often do win on the street. If it was an SS, it's just further proof that horsepower often isn't enough to overcome incompetent driving ability.
I have raced 4 "new style" GT's 2 were stock and one had full exhaust. My vette is stock except for a cat back and has a crappy 2.73 rear end. I walked all of them BADLY. The modded car ran me up to like 120 and I easily had like 4-5 cars on him. So I dont see GT's giving any LS1 a good run.
stock i agree ls1 should have no problem...
bolt on is a different story as the 3v's wake up a lot and will run 12's w/ only bolt on's just like ls1's.
