My bone stock a6 ls3 vette vs My brothers 05 a4 vette
I raced him twice from a 50 punch on the highway and beat him by 2 or 3 cars by 120 both times and I was still pulling. He would drop his to second and I would leave mine in sport mode and let it shift on its own. I floored it right before the third honk, so my car would down shift because he was already in gear. All my brother has done to the car is a borla catback.
jayplay did u get your car sold? The vette I raced in my ls3 is the same one I broke the axle at the track.lol
Yep, sold it last weekend. I am waiting for LS3 prices to come down a bit more ($30-31K) and pay off a few cc's in the meantime. I will be back in an M6 with H/C/FAST around 560-580rwhp max effort. The A6 is awesome and that's not why I sold it, that car hauled serious azz but I want back into an M6 and then I can run larger cams without a stall. When are you going to mod the LS3 A6? Dude, they get fun after 450rwhp.
hopefully in the next couple months. Im just going to do the basic bolt ons for a while and maybe a magnacharger in the next year or two. I dont want to mess with it internally

I want to be able to run 560+rwhp N/A and then run a 100-125 shot if I want to and with the cost of repairing an LS7 vs an LS3, I would sleep better with the LS3. I also like that the base C6 has a lower Cd (.28 vs .34 )..I know, I'm crazy. LS3's are also $10K cheaper. They say the Z is lighter but I have seen a few non-Z51 guys with only 3160lbs showing on the scales so that's moo.
Now if a cheap Z ($33-35) pops up, I will grab it instead of a $31-33K LS3.
Also, my C6 was a 2006, LS2. Not that it even matters with all the work I did.

Yea, you should be able to get 550rwhp out of it pretty easy. The last guy on CF who sold his JSB A6/ECS sc'd C6 ran 135 traps on his only outing, very serious indeed. I'm not sure of his exact mods but serious no doubt.

A magnacharger is a very different animal than an ECS Novi centri.
I'd definately go Novi instead of magnacharger.
Magnacharger may have the low end, but a centri will walk away in the mid to upper RPM's. Especially on an LS3 that isnt hurting low-mid range anyway like a stock cube ls1
