Default 2010 Supercharged Camaro SS vs 98 TransAm WS6 WITH VID!

Got to run the new 2010 Magnacharged Camaro SS against my 1998 Trans Am WS6 over the weekend. Got some good footage.
Both cars are recently built, so no track numbers on either car...

I was a bit concerned about being able to hang, but it turned out to be all in the traction. Drag radials are going on the SS this week. Will probably be a whole nuther ballgame then. Plus, my TA is a lot lighter, so weight was a factor there...

What's up with the Ethopia comment? lol

Good looking cars and nice runs! Thought the SS was gonna work it better than that though. Oh well!

Imma thumbs down your driver mod comment. He owns/drives/races 1000+HP C6 vette. He's a much better driver than I am!

Great Vid, 5 stars!

You're right, the LS1 still has great cred!! Close shifts keep that TA in the powerband; shifting at about 66-6700 and only dropping back to 5800. That baby stays in the zone!

what h/c package was the WS6 running? 413 to the ground is kinda low for a bolt-on head/cam setup...

Gotta love folks who hate on the car that got the kill. Heads are Dart Pro1 stage 3 heads. I dunno the cam lift or duration; it was in the car when I got it. Apparently it is a small one though...Car was dynoed on a warm humid day, so prolly lost 2 or 3 HP due to that

I don't think he was hating. It's just that not everyone knows that every H/C LS1 isn't going to put down 450rwhp or more. It depends on the combo.

lol brother bowties and arrowheads run through my bloodstream. I can't find it in my heart to hate on any f-body no matter what. I was just saying, most h/c setups i see do net 450+ so i was just confused. Still a badass machine man.

I hear ya. I was actually thinking it was a bit low myself when we finished the build, but I'm super satisfied! It's freakin fast! I think it also depends on the dyno too. It was on a Dynojet dyno, not a mustang pull. That typically renders lower numbers. There's a dyno guy in town who's known for crazy high numbers; I should take it over there and see what it puts down HAHA!!
