Something is defintely up with that Mustang. It's pretty damned weak for making 537rwhp...if it's really making that power. Regardless, you certainly stomped his ass. Nice kill.

I agree with him 100 percents.the goat weight more than the mustang plus with only cam on that goat no way that goat stomped that mustang that bad.

That Saleen weighs in that race around 4000 pounds with both people in it. Each person weighed roughly 250. My car is in the 3300-3400 area and I'm 150. You guys should read all the posts before you just throw down comments. I stated before that it has a large amount of weight reduction. Its not a boat like you typical GTO. Its actually even lighter now. I'm expecting in the spring time to have a race weight of around 3350. Here's another race i had with a 510whp cobra. This was with my AFR 205 heads and tr224 cam.... which by the way was no faster then my stock 241 heads and ms4 cam setup.

OP let me start by saying I never really liked Goats but yours changes my mind. Nice kill. I know exactly what you are saying about power under the curve. I have a procharged Mach that really feels sluggish below 4000RPM. To maximize the power delivery I got 4.10's and a 3200 stall to get the motor on the pipe (sought of speak) much quicker. Hence with only 442RWHP and full weight, 3600 lbs with my fat ass behind the wheel, The car went 11.22@124. Suprised alot of higher hp cars at the track. I also have the suspension set up well that helps me both from a roll and dig on the street and track. I am going to a 4500 stall with my new motor, when that motor is in the 5000 to 7500 range all the time... watch out.

Without knowing the powerband of the car you can't say that is why you won. I can assure you that a Procharged car from a roll is not slugish once you shift. Anyone that says that is a complete idiot.

For reference, I raced a Cobra with the same mods as the video above and the same hp and he easily ran away from me from 60 to 120. He probably had about 4 cars on me. My car traps 117 and makes 400 rwhp on a dynojet so that GTO must have been well over 120 with that setup.

So is it a cam only ls1 stock block or a lightweight forged 347 with a big cam. Makes a big difference. Whatever you have damn, that thing moves out.

It doesn't matter which it is. He said it makes 380rwhp and should run 120mph in the 1/4th. Now if this information is correct he is full of shit about the power of the Mustang. If the information is correct on the Mustang then he is full of shit about the information on his car. I think I said everything...

Nice kill but whoever said that Mustang made 537 at the wheel was smoking crack out of his ass. A 500rwhp Mustang "should" trap around 125.

stopsighn32v.... your the only ignorant person... do me a favor. GTFO of my thread. You have already made it extremely clear that you are just an ignorant and arrogant mustang owner. Your the only person who is trying to make a problem out of this. Whether his car makes the hp or not, your being a DICK! DO NOT comment on this thread anymore. Im all set with having a moderator close this thread because you like running your mouth when you know NOTHING. Thank you and have a nice day.

The car is a forged 347 running a 239/242 649/609 111lsa cam. 3500 billet converter, performabuilt trans, aluminium DS, slicks and skinnies, reved to 7200 rpm (rather quickly), massive amounts of weight reduction. I ran stock 241 cylinder heads. This setup was faster then my afr 205/tr224 cam/stock 346ci shortblock. There is far more to setting up a fast car then just making a hp number. My friends 04 cobra running a 3.4 whipple, blower cams, suspension etc etc.... made 580whp through a 6 spd on the same dyno i made 383whp through an unlocked stalled auto. Well his car just recently attained an auto with a 2800 converter. Car goes 9.90 at 140mph. Wait what??? Theres no way it can go that fast with the whp it made... its just not possible. ugh. Hp is a number.... if you cant use the hp the car makes.... its pointless.

im not sure what saleen it was but if its a 4 valve and he only revving to 6k theres one of your problems. those things stock with no mods rev to almost 7k thaks to dual overhead cams. those things are dogs under 4k so if hes only using 2k of the 3k rpms thats why he couldnt run you down from the 60 roll. yoyu just straight killed him from a low roll no excuse for him there. good kills though

New edge saleens are 2V's and s197's are 3V's. Unless the owner installed a new 4V motor himself.

Here is a comment......you would do good to hang with a 450rwhp Mustang. Know your place in the food chain. I could care less if a mod locks this or not. Would be one less thread full of poo in here. Take your car to the track and let us know what it does. Until then no one cars about your philosophy on how you won this race. I did this, I did that, it revs to this, his revs to that, I've beat this, he ran that, blah blah blah. Where is my bs flag?

Edit: found it!

stop being such a child dude. You dont have to believe it if you dont want. If it really bothers you then dont read into it. I personally do believe it because i know the other driver, his mods, his dyno time etc etc.... and i certainly know whats done to my car. Its sad that your way of thinking is so uneducated. Are you really that shocked that a properly setup lighter car out ran a heavy higher hp boat of a car. I mean really, grow up. Next time ill just have to have him pop the hood and ill film that too. But people like you truly make me sick. And you say no one cares about how i did this and no one cares that. People ask me questions and i answer them. Your just a child. Be on your way. thank you sir.

You are so dramatic. You just said you knew the guy. Whos to say you two didn't plan this out? Its not just me saying the Mustang didn't make 537rwhp. Oh and why do you keep saying its a boat? Do you know how much the car weighs?

And why is he reving a stroked/cammed/headed 03 Cobra motor to only 6,000rpms?
