Default Death by Evo X (With Video)

Ran an Evo X last night at a meet. We decided to do a 30, a 40, and a 50 roll. Ended up getting beat by a few cars give or take each time. Cool driver and a pretty quick car. Not sure of exact mods but I know he's running something like 26 psi and at least full bolt ons. I have bolt ons and cam 392rwhp 377rwtq. I'm just wondering if these are expected results or if my car isnt running up to its full potential. I got some voltage issues that drops the volts to yellow when i go wot and injectors are at 120%.

here is the vid.

Guess i gotta get those injectors, a shiftlight, and fix the volt prob and come back.

injectors at 120% duty cycle?! Ouch! On the volt issue, GM computers can on as little as 7 or 8 volts: your coil packs are hating life though, and your fuel pump... hmm. Your fuel pump is not getting the right voltage and probably explains your injectors running so hard trying to make up for the drop in pressure. Bet if you dont fix it you'll detonate it to death. Keeping an eye on your knock retard? Nice ass car btw xRelapse!

Don't EVo's run near 20psi stock? Regardless he's probably putting out near 100rwhp more than you to pull on you like that. Gotta love turbo's!

Crappy clutch hydraulics. Clutch pedal gets stuck on the floor if you try to shift fast. Extremely common problem on M6 F-bodies. Extremely annoying also.

hydraulic clutches are at least better than the cable crap the Terminators got. rednckflyby has been battling his clutch/cable issues for months- heh heh or at least thats the excuse he's been using since a nitrous'd LS1 camaro (LS1Punk) beat him.

Yea he is definately outpowering you and you outweigh him. Not a good combo. That seems about right. My boy Jay(LS1Ricekiller on here) ran a Audi A4 with a bigger turbo and full bolt ons when he had the black 02 WS6(Cam, full exhaust, tune) and it was door handle to door handle. So this seems about right from an Evo that has more power.

I actually don't mind cable clutches at all... pretty decent feel, even though they take a decent amount of effort. The clutch in my mom's C5 is actually a bit light for my taste; after a weekend of driving her car, my S2000's clutch seems heavy.

No way in hell a stock Evo is pulling him like that even if his camaro was stock. See below specs... stock Evo's are slow.

2008 Evo X specs below. Note that they are in fact 100-150lbs heavier than a LS1 Camaro, and the camaro loses weight when modded (mainly exhaust weight) versus the Evo if anything getting heavier (bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, etc.).

He said stock turbo Evo, not a stock Evo.
