On saturday I got a pass to go play, so I met up with some guys and the turbo S2000 wanted to play. I saw a vid with him vs another C6Z and his mods were exhaust intake and a tune. It looked like a pretty good race so I said why not..

We raced several times, and the outcome was almost always the same. I would be ahead by a car or a car half..

The weird thing is he wanted to start really slow.. I though 50-55ish was ok.. but we slowed all the way down to 40 on the freeway via me trying to match his speed. I would have thought he'd want to start at a little higher mph with a higher rpm. I should have started in 1st if I had known we were going to be starting in 40. but I started each run in 2nd.

I'm not sure about his mods.. But I think his engine is stock.

S2000s have forged internals from the factory, they're pretty stout.

To run a lot of boost on pump gas, generally they lower the compression via a thicker headgasket.

ALmost looked like the longer you ran it out the more hed catch you. Its a shame Honda never made a good auto becuase im sure that car would be insane not leaving boost in between shifts.

No. i believe he was tuned for pump 92 oct.

That is a sick S2K. I bet that thing Hauls with a supercharged LS2. Light weight Chassis, and a torquey, high hp engine.. bet it needs slicks or DR's.

Why would that have mattered...the Z was obviously the faster car, S2K couldn't hang on the top end. The LS7 is a monster on the highway.

Looked like he hung in there just fine to me, if he would have brake boosted he probably would have jumped out a half car to start instead of hitting it and waiting a short time for the car to come to full boost.

The S2K is no joke. It is def. a fast car. I would need to do a few more mods to walk him out.. but for him to even be close to me is pretty nuts! props were props are due!
