Im not trying to make excuses for the viper even though I do love them lol. But the guy in th z06 seriously needs to learn how to honk it off he'd barely get 2 honks off then take the hit every time.
Also an 08 viper makes around 550whp stock right on par with a zr1 and with bolt ons should be right around 600, now that vs a bolt on z06 that would be lucky to hit 500whp with bolt ons. Both cars weigh roughly the same and some how the viper cant catch the z06?

you are right. the Viper put down 596whp and the Z06 I think about 490whp. I was talking to the viper owner. he is not sure what happened. he said his shifts were nice and fast (as you can also see in the vid) tires were great, but for some reason the car didnt perform as its supposed to.
there is a new vid coming tomorrow for the same viper vs a liitle faster Z06 at around 507whp with bolt-ons too. the viper performed better in those runs.
all I can say is numbers is not everything especially in street races. it is known that a viper always needs more power to run a Z06. a 100whp difference should be MORE than enough thought but I dont know.

as far as the tune, both cars put some good number as mentioned above, but those are just peak numbers, there is always the area under the curve. not sure what else

the last run they both hit it pretty much at the same time. the 2nd run the Z06 was behind as you can see in the vid thats why. but that last run is a fair and nice run.

The vette hit it first on every run.. Wtf. How bout just a fair race? Nice editing though. The last race the vette still hit it a half second before the viper. Viper still pulled though.

I know numbers arent everything especially on the street but if both cars hooked up and ad good drivers that viper should have eaten the z06 alive. Stock for stock an 08 viper is well within zr1 territory until over 150ish. Maybe the viper guys should head ack to the dyno to make sure everything is ok?
but yes both car hooked up great and both are good drivers.
