Driver's race. I've seen it go both ways.

It really depends on the cars, their condition, the atmosphere, and traction at that point.

Keep in mind there are many Z06 drivers who do NOT know how to drive their cars properly. It takes about a 70-80rwhp difference for the Cobra to stay even with a competent driver.

If I had to choose, I'd take the Z06 though (as you can guess). Giving up a lot of power, but, you have the weight, aerodynamic, gearing, and setup (better IRS) advantage.

Just an FYI, when me and stock C5 punched at 60mph, instantly my car started to pull away and when i was 1 car ahead, i shifted to 4th and pulled more. i am taking the driver out of the picture and comparing 2 cars, when we both punched, my cobra started to pull away. we weren't even or anything, it was instant. driver of the Z was a very good driver who is a well know street racer here and owns a 9 sec cobra.

Your Cobra weighs almost 3700lbs and had 455rwhp with just an upper pulley. The vette had 400rwhp and weighs around 3100lbs.

Cobra - 8.13lb per hp with worse aerodynamics
Vette - 7.75lb per hp

How did you beat him? Or as you put, how did you beat the car?

A proper intake, such as a Vararam, or Callaway Honker, adds a decent amount of HP to a C5 Z06. Especially the Honker, because it relocates the Mass Air Sensor closer to the TB.

Please don't post Bullsh*t unless you're trying to be funny...
Read the thread more closely. We aren't talking about a Vararam or a fucking Callaway "Honker".

I don't doubt you, it really depends on how much the Cobra is putting down at that point and if the Z driver can A) Drive and B) was in the right gear.

With enough mods, sure a Cobra will pull on a stock C5 Z regardless of whether or not he's a good driver though...

if not, how about this (almost 123mph trap without powershifting)

or how about this 380fwhp srt-4 which is lighter than a vette getting walked on by me:

What the fuck is a "Honker" intake? I admit that I haven't been around Vettes for a couple of years. So educate me here, it sounds completely retarded.

Once again, no one said you didnt run a 11.3.... Although no one really knows what your mods are.

You ran a Charger in the second run.... Probably a RT model. No vette again.

An srt might have more peak power, but power under the curve is something completely different. All youve shown me is your car runs pretty good for the mods.... Nothing else.

lol, i didn't post that video for that charger. I posted it to show that the car trapped 122.8mph which a c5 Z06 would be lucky to get close that trap.

oh BTW: that was a "modded" (intake, catback) srt-8

and about the srt-4, that thing ran 11.8 FYI

HAHA I've done it before. I think I spun the wheels too much when I tried to cover them. I pulled out of the water box and my wheels were somewhat dry. Put her in 2nd and dumped the clutch around 6,000rpms and my whole dash started shaking. Said fuck it and pulled up not doing another burn out...no shit, that run to this day was my best 60'.
