Default So I got outran by a Box Chevy on 24's

Wow. What a humbling experience. Lost $100 too.

The guys that were there can tell you too... it was bad.. he got me by over a car. AND HE WAS ON 24's.

I made the mistake of giving him the hit and then leaving late thinking I would pull him in. I thought I heard a pro charger on it when he was next to me before the race but I didn't think about it. Not only did he hook up way better than me on street tire for street tire, he commenced to holding his lead. He was up by 2 cars at one point and I pulled it back to 1 but not near enough to beat him.

On the second race from a low roll I was pulling him.. but only because he was spinning so hard he blew his tire out in the middle of the road.

:lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:

Dope boys on 24's with a pro charger > Thacker.

Moral of the story is don't **** with something you know nothing about no matter how ridiculous you think it looks.

The GTO, but the GTO has been solid mid 12's... so I don't know WTF this car had to be pushing power wise.

That's just one of those things I guess. Somebody will catch you off guard every once in a while. With a car like that he may have had a Rat under the hood, there's no telling. At least he's not spending all his money on Bling.

I am assuming it was a big block, or a large CI small block with the pro charger ontop.

Either way... I am humbled.

reading this i cant help to think about the video of the "DONK" at the track when the dude goes to launch the rear snaps and you just watch one axel and wheel start rolling down the track and hear the guy on the mic sayin someone better stop the wheel before it falls on its face to get all scratched lol. I was on one of their forums sometime back just checking things out and a bunch of them guys claim 1000+hp alot of procharged big blocks.

In the end you likely came out ahead since a decent tire costs more than 100 dollars.

Tire alone was about 350 for that car I am sure.

After speaking to some of the local guys apparently this car has a built turbo 400, and yanks the 24's up a few inches when he leaves at the track. It's an 11 second car with a low trap that hooks. 500+ rwhp out of a procharged 383 is what people are assuming.

For it to be as famous as it is around my area.. I sure as hell didn't know about it.

I know how you feel,almost... Last month i seen a pathetic looking honda with a pep boys wing and 10 stickers to boot. I know there are fast civics out there but they dont look like this thing, i just kinda rev past him laughing and the next thing he is at my door reving at 45 mph or so. My friend is with me and i tell him to watch this raping we honk it off and we are door to door until 100 when i finally start pulling him ever so slightly, maybe 3/4 car by 120.Thought this race would of been done by 70 mph ,i was wrong. I dont under estimate anything after this...

An 80's Caprice Classic I believe.

LOL, that reminds me of the time my friend's TA got smoked by a 1977 Grand Prix on 24's with a built engine. It was the funniest thing ever!!

^Very true.

Also, I'm assuming that he puts slicks on it when he pulls a wheel at the track...

Can you find slicks that fit on a 24" rim?

According to our local forum, he runs a 28" 10.5 slick at the track with the 24's on the front.

he's only on about 9lbs of boost with no intercooler and a b.s. fuel system. If he would listen and put a good fuel system on the car with an intercooler he could make 700+rwhp with no problem even with the small blower he has on the car
