Good to see someone set an ol' flopsbody up right. Damn good runs, footage, and music to boot.
Any times on the Mustang?
Yea.. but its too unimpressive for me to even mention in the vid. 12.46@113mph after driving 110 miles DIRECTLY into the staging lanes on a 95* humid day shifting with a napkin @ e-town pushing the car in line and checking tire pressure, getting a BEST of 2.1 60'. Thats prior to the finding of the faulty distributor, and electric fan/ electric water pump, aluminum 4 core, etc......
Putting the ricer excuses aside, I like a close race, and thats EXACTLY what Joe brought to the table. I had great time Can't wait to hear that LS1 up above the 110mph marker!
BTW Joe, don't sell yourself short.. heres your side of the vid:
:EDIT:.. btw After the first 3 races... I decided that if my trans is gonna be a 1942 diseased ass confused mexican hooker that the the first 3 are gonna have to be "massaged" in, meaning no-lift mod..... SO be easy on the comments concerning the bobblehead shift mod... lol

good runs!! but watch the fox driver at 4:06-4:08 his head jerks forward so much haha. i heard the 5.0 shift really hard? my friends got one and he says whens hes shifting you jerk forward a lot.. very well matched cars though fosure.
Definitely fun times. Can't wait for him to get his tranny fixed so we can get some full 1/4 mile dig runs in. That first one I wheel-hopped like a bitch and he just took off, the second one we stayed next to each other until second at which point I was able to grab a lead and hold it until he let off, but we still didn't get to the 1/4 because of his fourth gear. I was really hoping to find out if he'd catch me by the finish line. Ah well, next time.

With a decent trans that car def has the potential of pulling 116 @ the track, if it can hook, it should be high 11's all day.

Nice runs man, that stang is pretty stout. I just noticed I think its your third gear, but its rediculously short.
Are you talking about my car or his? My second gear is RIDICULOUSLY short. I was going to actually time it using the vid, but I'm guessing I'm in second for somewhere around 1.0 second or less. It really is the shortest I've ever seen a gear take in any car. I guess that's what 4.10s and the MN12 will do.

Yea I was talking about your car, must have been second gear, it seemed like you were only in it for a millisecond, lol
Yeah, it's second. Watch the video from the first post and go to 4:34 to see that race from in my car and you can see me shifting. I start in first (20mph), hit second, and watch how quick I have to shift to third. It's literally about a second flat or less. Second gear is pretty much non-existent.
