Default Blown header gasket??

Is that common or at least viable? I have an odd sound clacking under the hood and i don't think it is a lifter. I noticed a rich smell under the hood and felt heat coming from the driver's side pushing up in one area.

i used the paper header gasket supplied by pacesetter. It blew out. If you unbolt the header and pull out the gasket you will see black where it is leaking.

if your using the factory multilayer gasket im pretty sure that a bolt has backed out. just retighten all the bolts and youll be good to go.

Yeah, if it's a paper, chances are it blew. It's common, happened to me when I used paper gaskets.

Next time, just re-use your stock metal ones.
