| Tall ramps? Just curious if anyone knows of a company that sells some sturdy safe ramps that you can do just about anything to ur car with like pulling the transmission, motor mounts, headers etc. I just want some that can get the car pretty high. |

Probably the scissor lift is safest. Don't know about trans. I've never seen one in use.

. | Ever seen one FAIL???? I have!!!!!!! Friend called me after he had jacked up the car while changing a a tire. The screw had striped out the end of the thread and came crashing down to the ground.
I told him.... be glad you weren't under there when that happen.
Moral.... NEVER get under a car with only a jack supporting it. ALWAYS USE JACKSTANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hydraulic lift, scissors type. I would never suggest anyone get under one of those piece of crap things.
Hell, I don't think I've even seen one of those jacks in 20 years.

| I use some 2 x 12's to drive up on the ramps. I then jack my car up with a a floor jack and put jackstands under all 4 corners.. ONLY SAFE way to do it without a lift in my opinion.. I have seen to many jacks failed and the results aren't nice to the car or people involved.
