There are still good deals to be had in the flyers. You just have to jump on stuff when its on sale. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up one of the Craftsman professional grease guns for 50% off when I had the chance.

Well if i remember right ( i used to work at sears) unless its new like within the last month.. it should still take it off. but it depends what it is. single wrenches etc do not qualify. things like drills and stuff should.. c-club is usually 10% off. but what ends up in the catalog are things that are on sale at the time, that you can use your 10% off on.... my friends still work at sears - i still get employee discount... Yeah the card is a great deal.... I know I work for sears so I get the 10% from the card, the sale prices and my employee discount of 15%.... so some of the time i can get things up to 50% to 90% off
I have a few friends that work for them. As mentioned the savings are only what is in the mailed flyer now. Since the merger/purchase of K-mart, Sears has been doing some goofy things.
I use to work in a Sears and on the craftsman club days I'd be ringing people up like crazy! I went into Sears this last sale and it was pretty much dead in there and that's when I found out it's only the stuff in the sales flier that is on sale and also they said that bench and power tools were 10% as well. I think I'm going to go and write them now about that, I'm looking into buying other tools now instead. Didn't feel like giving them my business but I might have to for their prices are still pretty reasonable for what you get.

i just went to sears and asked about it, and the guy gave me a card to sign up and an expired club flyer from two weeks ago. i called the number on the card to sign up, and they didnt say anything about it being defunct.
