passengerside airbag and bracket help please

I have removed my passengerside air bag nd I was looking at the braket that holds it and it apears I could lose even more wieght by removing it but it also apears that it bolts to my glove box to hold the door for it. has anyone come up with a way to remove the bracket and retain the glve box? also what is the air bag worth if I try and sell it? it is a 2000 trans am btw guys

You don't need a glovebox.

Is it steel? Replace it with aluminum. Add numerous holes to remove material to lighten.
