Default '89 Toyota Supra with a turbocharged LS1

Year: 1989
Make: Toyota
Model: Supra
Price: $7000
Mileage: 1
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MI
Color: Blue
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

The car is a 1989 Toyota Supra with a turbocharged LS1. The transmission is a recently rebuilt 4L60E. The car itself started as the turbo straight 6 version of the Supra so it has a lot of the performance oriented features to begin with. The car also has a removable targa top. There is not one spot of rust on this car. It started as a California car and made it's way across the country in the past few years. Whoever bought it in California had the underside of the car sprayed and it's still holding up very well.

I'll try to give a list of what parts the car has. If I miss anything, or you have other questions feel free to ask.

- stock LS1 block (engine is a '98 and has roughly 70k miles on it)
- LS6 intake
- 60# injectors
- Walbro 255lph intake fuel pump
- 66mm Borg Warner turbo (custom built and fairly recently rebuilt)
- Painless wiring harness
- Driveshaft Shop custom driveshaft
- Tokiko blue struts with lowering springs
- factory Toyota limited slip differential
- 17x11/17x9 American Racing wheels.

The car was tuned by a local and reputable shop. It's tuned very safe and currently set more for reliability vs. all out power. Even so it makes more than enough to have a blast with it.

The car does not have A/C but it does have power steering. Nothing in the front end is loose or broken. The Autometer Phantom series gauges are set into a custom dash. There are currently 6, with two more on the way to fill the pillar pod. The targa top does not leak. There is not a spot of rust anywhere, including under the top. It takes about a minute to take the top off and sets into the back of the car. The boost is only set to 5-6psi currently and has room for more. As it sits it makes about 400hp on a Mustang Dyno without issues.

Other new parts: brake pads (all the way around), brake master cylinder, battery, coolant reservoir, windshield, etc. The car drives great. 75mph is a touch under 2,000 RPM. The exhaust isn't overly loud even with the roof off, until you get on it. I've actually driven this car to/from work just about every day for the past couple of months.

There bad with the car:
I haven't had time to figure out the gauges. With being busy at work and family issues, I just haven't had the time. There are 6 with room for 2 more on the pillar. Of the 6 in it, only 3 of them work. My guess is the other 3 just aren't hooked up at all or they're the wrong gauges. The car obviously drives fine without them and you don't really need them, but it would be nice to have them all working correctly.

With how the car sits I honestly feel it's worth closer to $10,000. If I was more patient I would try getting that much for it. $7,000 is a very fair price and I feel it's more than reflective of the gauges.

I am not interested in any trades. I will have pictures up tonight when I get home from work.

For anyone somewhat local, I usually have the car out on Woodward on the weekends.

I dropped the price to $7,000 on the local clubs I'm on. I figured I'd do the same here. I'll update the first post.

Bump. For anyone local I'll probably be out on Woodward this Saturday if you want to see it. I might be out Friday but it would be later.

I've been talking to someone through email and they had a question about the title. Not to sound like an idiot, but the title is a normal green one which means it is clear, not salvaged or rebuilt. I will correct the first post. For the life of me I can't figure out why I was thinking it was otherwise..?

No thanks. I just picked up a G8 GT so I'm looking to just get rid of the Supra.

Honestly I'm not sure what the limit is. I know there are guys with stock rear ends and even stock Toyota 5 speeds (with clutches obviously) well into the 10's. It has a factory TRD limited slip and everything else from what I've read holds up pretty well.
