1988 Camaro 305 TPI (No transmission)
Year: 1988
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $450
Mileage: 3000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NC
Color: Blue
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has other engine
NOW $450 OBO
The car has no transmission, although it originally had a manual, and until recently, a T56. Also, there is no master/slave cylinder, driveshaft, transmission crossmember, bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, or center console (the picture shows one, but there is none). However, the clutch pedal is still there.
The engine is a 305 with Tuned Port Injection (TPI). Originally the car was equipped with Throttle Body Injection (TBI). The engine has no more than 3000 miles since it was rebuilt, and is mechanically sound. However, there seem to be issues with the wiring and sensors, etc. The engine also has shorty headers, new distributor cap and rotor, coil, plug wires, spark plugs, and K&N air fliters.
The paint is a light blue color, but is in rough shape from sun damage. There is a small little circle of surface rust on the driver's side quarter panel. The T-top and window weatherstripping has been replaced. The hatch pull-down works. The interior has many little problems here and there. The car comes with an extra T-top, T-top bag, a full size spare tire, and a few miscellaneous parts.
Altogether, this is a project car. It is in rough shape, but is solid. The price is $450 OBO. I need this gone very soon!
I am in Concord, NC 28027. The car will have to be trailered as it is not driveable. I have a clean title, as well. Shoot me an offer!

As far as I know it does have the TPI computer. I mean, there are wires going into each fuel injector; if it were a TBI, I don't think there would be eight wires for that.
I believe that the problems with the engine derived from the T56 that was in there - something to do with the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) not being compatible between the trans and the motor. Although it could just be the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF).
