Default Mazda RX7 - LS1/T56 Powered

Listing this for a friend, he is not able to post threads in the classifieds yet. I am the previous owner and will help answer questions about the car. Otherwise contact Mark @ 772-360-8227 or mfielding@bellsouth.net

Here is his description...

As much as I love the car I have been thinking of moving on to start a new project. Swap was done right and everything works as it should, I would jump in this car and drive cross country at a moments notice.

2001 LS1
31k Total Miles (6k after swap)
LS6 Intake Manifold
241 Heads
Custom CAI
2.5" Dual Exhaust
X Pipe
Magnaflow Cans

T56
Turbo II Rear

Power Steering
Power Windows, Sunroof, Mirrors
No A/C
No Heat (could be put back in)
Alpine MP3 CD Player
New Front Seats
Dynomatted interior
Autometer Gauges
Tinted Windows
17x8 Cobra Wheels
275 Nitto 555R Rears
235 Goodyear KDW Fronts

Car runs and drives great and gets awesome gas mileage. Everything works like it should and has no mechanical issues. The Body and paint is in good shape for the age, really depends on how much of a perfectionist you are. Theres a couple dings that wouldnt hurt to be taken care of. The car looks great but is not perfect, not sure how much you can expect from a 20 year old car. Interior is in great shape and looks awesome.

Car has been 11.951 @ 117.85 with a 1.87 60 foot. Weighed 2790lbs without driver before dynomatt.

Looking to get $11,500, price may be negotiable. If your interested in the car let me know and maybe we can work something out. Clean Title in hand. Comes with some extra parts and the stock GXL wheels and tires.

Looks like a nice swap for a good price. A/c and heat would help sell a lot quicker. I thought those FCs were lighter than that even with an ls1 in it. Even with a stockish ls1, I bet that things a ton of fun to play around in.

Do you know if those 241s have any work done to them?

Weight is average/little on the light side for this swap from what I've seen

241's are untouched

No thanks on the trade

FCs are actually heavier than the FDs so this is about average, but as you can see from the OPs times and mine, they are light enough to really haul even with a damn near stock engine

Wow, I thought the FCs were lighter than the FDs. I know both run very well with minimal mods. I'd love to have an FC or especially an FD but I'm 6'3 so I'm not sure how well I'd fit.

FD would be tough especially with a helmet but Im about 5'11 and I can fit in my FC with a helmet on with the seat all the way straight up and I have a cheap HJC helmet that run pretty large on your head

Do they make seat lowering kits for it like they do for Vipers? At my local track anything quicker than an 8.0 eighth requires a helmet.

Im about 6'3 and fit in the car with a motocross helmet on, its a little bit tight though. There aftermarket seats with the stock sliders, they could probably be modified to sit a little lower. Anything faster than a 13.5 1/4 requires a helmet here. This car went 7.7 @ 93 in the 1/8
