Default 1974 Camaro Daily Driver

1974 camaro
brand new crate 350 (less than 300 miles right now)
4brl quad carb (edlebrock)
edlebrock mani
Everything else attached of touching the motor is new, except the starter, alt, and water pump.

Dunno about the tranny, i havn't ever messed with it, but it has nvr given me any problems.

Inside is great. Black cloth. Rear seats are in perfect condition, driver seat is really nice, passenger seat has a small straight rip in it. Dash doesn't exactly line up all the way on the driver side. Near shifter is 2 small rips.

brand new $700 sound system. 2- 6X9 pioneer speakers, 500 watt amp in the trunk, and pioneer cd/am/fm removable deck.

new gauges that show oil pressure, amps, and car temp. (which the car runs a steady 180 - 190 temp, and 60-70 on the oil pressure)

Outside needs some lovin. The guy before me and his buddy painted the car with what looks to be a 1 stage spray paint job. He didn't sand or primer the car, he just covered up the green with blue. some places he missed completely.

The rims are Cragar SS 5 spokes, but they are worn out. The rims and tires should probably be replaced.

Under side of the car needs a good sand blasting.

Other than that, this car is my daily driver. I love it a lot, but i have to go 2 college next year, and i can't take it with me. I dont have enough money, time, or knowledge to keep the car in good care.

I am asking around $3500 for the car, although i would love to trade for a running 4th gen camaro, or trans am. I also have some cash to give in the trade, and i can go up to 5000 total. I would love a car with t-tops, and not red. Those are really my only 2 cares about the car if some1 wanted to trade.

I have many many pics of the car, so if u send me an email adress i can send them. I would post, but i have over 50 pics. But here are some

Auto or manual? Is the inspection current? What do you mean when you say the wheels are worn? Are they the ones shown in the pictures? Do you mean they are cosmetically not very good, or are they damaged, or something else...?

Does it have AC? Could you also post pics of the interior, please? Or send some to tsuintx(at)gmail(dot)com.

no ac, although it does have 1/2 of the parts new. No compressor, but the unit is still in the car.

My mom might want to buy this. She has been looking for a running 2nd gen camaro. She used to have one, and has lately been looking at one

well let her know mines a good one. The 2 things that need 2 be done to make it a great driver car are new rims&tires, and work out the header problem. That being that they are low to the ground. Heard it was easy to fix with a blowtorch and bending...

What is this header problem you mentioned? I didn't see anything in the original post about a header problem.

when i bought the new flowtech preformance headers, they didn't go far enough back to line up with the rest of the exaust... so i had to have an extition welded on. Well, i have a friend who has a muffler shop and he said he would do it for $50. I said fine and he did it...

The problem is that when he welded them on, he didn't take the time to re-adjust the height. They work fine, but they sit about 2-3 inches above the ground. Here is a pic to show u.

I have been told about 3 times that if u took off the headers, and took a blowtorch and re-shaped them up, that it would be fine. Unfortunatly, i dont have a blowtorch, or the time to try it out.

I almost need to get rid of this car. I was quoted 4250 = great 3950 = good 3500 = fair @ auto trader.com. Not taking into concideration that the car still needs little things done to it...

I need to get a most stable car, like a 4th gen, and i have a couple in mind, but i can't get them b/c i dont have the money... so i need to sell this one. I would love to get 3500 for the car, but 3250 is basiclly bottom dollar.

I would also love it if i could keep the sound system in it, or atleast the speakers and the amp, b/c they were b-day presents. But if you wanted them with the car, i would like a little more it.

Thx - Jeff

ya, it's nice, but it's not that nice. For the price, and what the car has, i thought i would be able to sell it by now...

yup, still 4 sale. And that pic with the headers, it's on a slant, so the one in the background looks really low to the ground... but it's actually the same height as the one in the foreground.
