Well I have been looking and wanting a LS1/LT1 Camaro or Firebird for a long time, and the only way with the way the economy and my situation is that I can afford one is to sell or trade my truck.
*Asking Price:NEW PRICE 4700 with the 22" wheels and tires, I will work out a deal if the wheels are not wanted. I payed over $1700 for them brand new. They are RVM 2-piece 22X8" with 255/30/22 Wanli tires *Vehicle City & State:The Vehicle is registered in NC, but my residence is Clemson, SC *Vehicle Make, Model,:Chevrolet, S-10, 1998 *Actual Mileage:The body has 131k on it. 8500 miles ago the little 2.2 4 cylinder finally had all she could take and I found a 2002 S10 with 64k miles on it and swapped the motor and transmission into my truck. While it was out I also had the water pump, fan clutch(the reason why the motor overheated and blew), starter, clutch, slave cylinder, and alternator replaced. *Title: Clean / Rebuilt / Salvage / Missing: The title is in my name and is clean and clear. *Transmission Type: Automatic / Manual: Manual 5 spd tranny that has 72k current miles on it. The clutch, throwout bearing, and slave cylinder have all been replaced in the last 8500 miles. *Body Color:The truck has been painted PPG Victory Red. I had this done almost 2.5 years ago and it still looks very good and get TONS of compliments all the time. It was sprayed with 3 coats of base and 3 coats of clear. It has a pearlescent blue in the clear coat which makes the silver metal flake "dance" red/blue/green/. I payed 2800 for the paint job. I would rate the paint 8.5/10 *Interior Type and Color: Grey cloth interior, Goodyear floormats...I have also sanded smooth and painted/clearcoated the door cups, dash bezel, fuse box panel, center console, and glove box door in matching Victory Red. I would rate the interior a 7/10 its a truck. Also there is a CF shift knob I have added. *List of modifications:I have added a K&N FIPK 2 CAI system to the truck with a K&N filter. Also it has a Magnaflow High-Flow Catalytic Converter along with 2 1/4" crush bent exhaust with a Magnaflow Muffler into a 3" chrome slash cut tip. The truck sounds really deep and mellow not raspy and annoying like a lot of other 4 cylinder trucks. The truck also has a $600 T-Rex Phantom Billet Grille, CF Angel Eye Projector Style headlights (I bought them off Ebay, they aren't the really expensive ones but still look really good and have the projector beams and halo rings). CF parking lights, CF Taillights, Sir Micheals Steel Roll Pan. Street Scene Bumper Cover. I know I am forgetting some other stuff also. *List of known issues, flaws, or problems: Ok for the bad, about 7 months ago my ex-gf caught up with me and decided to put some key marks into my $3000 paint job (she really knew how to get to me) I will include pics of it. I have gone over it with touch-up paint so it is not noticeable until you get 3ft. and closer to it. The front bumper also has a little paint flaking of near the bottom. The painter told me that these bumpers even with flex agents like to flake after a cpl years which it is finally starting to do. *Has the vehicle had any accidents or paint work? Yes or No: NO *Attach photos or post links to photos:
I just wanted to say, that this truck drives so good you would really be hard pressed to not keep it for a DD, but I have seen a lot of them lately here on LS1tech, but have been thinking about for years swapping a 5.3 into this truck. It would make a great candidate for this very swap. Add a 3/4 or 4/5 drop(it will fit the 22's just fine) this truck would look great. Heck sell the wheels and buy some really nice ZR1's or SS wheels and it would really look nice lowered on ZR1 17" concepts with wide sticky tires out back. Like I said though the 2.2 runs great and hums along getting 22-24 mpg all day and hit the highway, which I wouldn't be scared to do at all for a long trip. Just a month ago I drove it to Greensboro, NC and back (8 hour round trip) and had not one single problem.
I also just had the tires rotated and balanced, and had a leaking valve stem replaced. It really rides very smooth now, and I forgot to add I replaced the shocks I bought it with almost 60k ago with Monroe Sensi-trac shock absorbers.
Kelley Blue Book is 4400 with the mileage from the VIN from the S-10 I swapped the motor and tranny from. The KBB for the truck the way it sits is 3600. I figure its worth 4k or a little more and since I've put over 6k into it not counting the truck I really think 4900 for everything is VERY fair.
just an fyi this is lsx section only.. someone will move it but free bump
