|  walked a 2001 z28 6spd...in my truck!!
well not really LOL.Me and a bunch of freinds were leaving a restaurant tonight and my buddie in his bone stock z28 was next to me at a light so i told him to go on green, me knowing he cant launch for shit and we all know an auto > a shitty driven 6spd  LOL. But anyways from 0-40 I waxed his ass till he flew by me like if i was parked  Either way the speed limit was 50 on this street so technically i didnt even go over the limit before he blew my doors off and i just let off lol, damn slow ass stock 5.3's!

I walked my buddy's '98 z28 A4 with my 5.3 powered '99 SS M6. It's not necessarily the 5.3 that's slow, its the gearing and the weight. Not trying to say that the LS1 isn't faster then the 5.3, cause it is, just that the 5.3 has potential.

Im not saying the 5.3 doesnt have potential because ive seen some pretty sick blown 5.3's along with others that had h/c and nitrous, even saw a yukon with a turbo'ed 5.3 once at a car show. Im just saying that a BONE stock 5.3 in a full size pickup truck like mine is slow ass balls.Off course we all know this already...but im just saying

The iron block 5.3's were called LM7's. I don't know if it changed in '07 or not.
