Default Good mechanic in OC area?

I need to find a mechanic in the Orange County area who knows what he's doing and charges fair prices... I don't trust any of the shops nearby my house. For example, I need my steering wheel column fixed and I don't want to pay the dealership price of $300. Can anyone recommend somebody?

What's wrong with your steering wheel column?

My steering wheel has a lot of play... meaning it turns left or right a few inches without actually turning the wheels. Also if I pull down on the wheel it will easily tilt downward (more diagonal towards the bottom left). It gets very annoying if I'm on a bumpy road.

I think the free play in your steering wheel is likely a bad rag joint in your steering knuckle. It seems to be common for the tilting thing to happen, even though it has never happened to either of my two fbodys, I don't know what causes that.

The loose tilt is the four bolts that hold the column together. I've fix so many columns with that problem that I could do it in my sleep.
