Hurry guys... turn your TV's to Mythbusters... it is about to start an episode having something to do with a TA burning rubber... guess we'll find out... looks cool though!
I laughed out loud when I saw what car they picked. They kind of ruined it though. Ripped the skirt and rear bumper off and scraped the rims all up. The burn outs looked kind weak too. O well. The lego myth was awesome tho!
trying to see if you can indeed catch the rubber on fire while doing a burnout... we all know tires will smoke, but they wanted to see if it would catch fire. They basically took an LT1 TA and redlined it for a couple minutes doing a burnout... popped like 3 tires I think...
i call bullshit. ive done that, it must depend on the tire. did in a Mazda B3000 a few years ago. granted it was down to the steel cords but it did catch fire, we were at a boat launch on the San Jacinto River called Blairs Landing. Had to dowse it in river water LOL. We were drinkin and it seemed like the thing to do at the time haha

There's the clue: burnouts on Jim Beam will cause a fire.
