Default AZ AutoMasters

AZ AutoMasters By far the best

Over the last 10 years I have owned a 98 WS6 Trans Am, 2001 WS6 Trans Am, and a 2003 ZO6 Corvette, I have had everything from a basic tune up to 3:90 gears in my vette, to a cam / exhaust / clutch / brakes / 3:73's in the T/a / shift kit / and all kinds of #$% I break on the street fixed / modded with Auto Masters. The owner Mike will tell it to you straight with no Bull@#$, I mean the guy has a sick supercharged C4 , he has been in the business and has the experience. I have never had a problem with Auto Masters after thousands of dollars and numerous visits. In fact this Saturday I will be droppin off the Vette to add some much needed goodies. I have seen and been up against some of the sick motor builds they turn out and they are no joke... At any time you walk in to Auto Masters there is bound to be a sick 383 Stroker Vette , an SS on NOS, or whatever beast they are working on at the time great shop I would recommend to anyone

I have had alot of work done to my old ls1 at Gear head garage

including a motor swap cluctch install, cam install,a/c issues, shit for my old r6, and always seem happy to help me back in the day when i had random fucking questions for him lol and im sure a bunch of other shit i cant think of that he has done for me.

Matt at Gearhead garage is fucking awesome and does outstanding work i was very happy with everything he did and in a timely fashion.

I have had subframes and lca's and a panhard rod made from mike at bft customs which i now think works with matt at GHG and his products are top notch.

NicD=tunning, he is a great guy and knows what he is doing

ADC= i Have had some cars dynoed there and always had a good experience.

AZPS= Mike is a cool guy and I have made some purchases through him, he always seems to take the time to explain everything to me and gave me the best prices in town. He shop is always packed everytime I have been there and look to get work done by his shop sometime in the future

i like Performance Solutions

great guys, awesome turn around, the prices are average-higher than average but they warranty everything they touch so if it breaks then they fix it free of charge

they also called me a lot telling me the progress of my vehicle, i was amazingly on the customer service, the owner even took his time to send me PMs on another forum to see whats up

over all best experience at a shop.

AZ power and sound completely screwed me(or at least tried to). I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Horrible customer service and work ethic.

I was looking through this thread and it's filled with all sorts of good information.

I live in Litchfield Park, and I'm looking for a tuner around this area that can tune out my AIR and EGR for my 2000 Camaro. Would you guys have any particular recommendations in this area, or am I going to have to drive all the way out to Chandler or Mesa to get some good work done?

I use NicD for tuning and even touch up work. He could disable the AIR/EGR and assist with a few other odds and ends. Shoot him a PM and schedule a time, I drive from Reems/Bell all the way out to see him.

I'll recommend Nic D as well. There were some weird issues with my tune and he stood by his work and fixed it up, free of charge. That integrity is very important to have and is an increasingly rare find these days. It's worth it to drive out to Chandler to have Nic tune it for you.

Do you have any tuning software? If so it'd take all of 30 seconds to tune out your AIR, EGR, and rear o2's....

No, I do not have any tuning software. That would require me purchasing the software from the distributors, correct?

Also, what kind of rates does Nic D charge, if you guys don't mind me asking? I want to make sure it'll be worth it to drive across to the other side of the state to get this done lol.

Hey guys... I'm not a MOD or anything, but for safety sake of keeping this thread active keep in mind the Forum Rules/Sponser Rules... If you have any contact information/prices to give about any of the non-sponseer shops/persons please use PM's so this thread may stay as a resource of good/bad reviews on different places... feel free though to do what you've been doing and saying whether or not you had a good experience at a shop...

If I'm wrong, and someone you are speaking of is a sponser, by all means feel free to correct me

you might as well buy the tuner yourself. I think I've seen him charge $275 on up

I thought that if you don't have a Tuner yourself that he charges more but also give you a Tune when ever you need it for free and all you would pay for is the Dyno? If not, then contact NIC and get your car tuned.

It's hard to get a hold of him so I might have to go through AZ DYNO Chip and have Nic dink around with it when he can. I need my Shift points and all checked out. Im hitting rev.

normally the first tune is the most expensive. Remember, most tuners are buying the "professional" version of these programs, meaning they can tune an unlimited number of cars. They arent cheap, I think I saw LS1 edit sell here for 2500 dollars and that was marked down. When I checked around I found that local tuners charge 150-175 just to "register" your vin with their program. Then the actually cost for their time. But you only have to pay the 150-175 once, then all your other tunes are hourly rate + dyno fee's.

dont get me wrong if you want to buy the program yourself then go for it. I tmight be cheaper if you plan on modding in stages (bolt ons first, then cam, then heads, then whatever) because it will be cheaper than paying to get i tuned 5 times.

However, if you are like me and do mods in groups, it might be better to just pay someone.

then again I might be completely wrong

I'm from southwest NM and will be doing a A4-M6 swap real soon, there are no shops what so ever around here that can retune my pcm for the M6. Who do you guys recommend to do the retune, I sent emails to nicd and az automasters but didnt get a reply. I eventually want to do heads and cam but I need to find a good tuner that I can go to, and I dont mind going to Phoenix.
Thanks

I think your best bet is to just find a pcm from a m6 car
