Phoenix, AZ - LSX/Shops/Meets and Points of Interest
Hey guys, I'd like to get a list of preferred and proven shops around this area. Doesn't really matter what they specialize in on the car... just as long as they do good work, fair price, and know LSx GM Cars... I'd like to keep the debates to a minimal and use this thread as a sort of rolodex for certain areas of the cars that are needing work done... (i.e. Machine Shops, Dyno Shops, Body Shops, Muffler Shops, Tranny Shops, etc...)
So post up names and locations of these shops while keeping in mind the LS1Tech forum rules...
**** This means no posting of CONTACT info or Websites ****
I believe an actual address is ok though... someone correct me if i'm wrong...
I highly recommend reading through the thread to see the user reviews on each of these shops... Most had good reviews but some didn't and there is no way to rate them in this post so...
EDIT!!!
Figured it's kinda hard to guage how far these shops are from where you live...so, I made this map... I also added some Points of Intrest to the map below... Car shows, Drag Strips, etc... ENJOY!

I heard they do great work and charge moderate prices. Not the lowest of the low pricewise but all around average.
Definitely not cheap, but they do great work. I used them for my '70 and tuning in my old carb that I used to have. They picked up about 27rwhp and 32rwtq from start to finish for me.

do not go any where else but top gear motorsports. The owner's name is sean and he is the most honest person you will ever meet. He accidentally charged me 80 cents too much on an install and the next time i saw him he had it in his desk to give to me and he apologized for the extra charges.
that to me is a 100% trustworthy person. he wont take advantage of you and does A+ work.
I've had minor stuff done (exhaust, some suspension) over at Gearhead Garage. I've seen their custom dual setup's and they look and sound good. BFT Customs is their in house suspension, and Im running their adjustable Torque Arm and tubular subframes right now (really like them both).
They aren't cheap, but seem to do solid work and the guys are friendly and overall knowledgable.
I will likely do further modification with them.

Ive been looking at them for some future work.....So they are good?
I really liked their website and it seemed like they had a great attitude for Getting the job done right the 1st time.
Thanks for starting up this thread Soul TKR, I plan on moving back to Az soon but when I use to live out there I didn't know about most of these shops. TTT for a good thread...
Any of these shops widen wheels? Just thought i'd ask before calling around.
I agree mostly with the AZP&S review. Horrible customer service, was left on hold many times till I hung up, and many calls never returned. But they did do really nice work on my TDs, expensive but nice.

yea it'd be nice if we could get a sticky for this, that way more and more shops could be added to the list as time goes by...
anyone recommend a good dyno tuning facility?
EDIT: I just checked out a few you guys listed... checking on some prices... would anyone be interested in a club dyno day? Maybe we could get one started...
Just found another shop doing a google search... they seem to do LS1 work as well... anyone ever heard of these guys? how are they?

Thats the bomb dizzle!(yeah,I used an "izzle" )Someone correct me if im wrong but wasnt NicD affiliated there?Hes the LS1 tuner Ive been told to go see. Some random old guy raced me(smoked me rather)in a silver C6 and dropped his name after we slowed and talked.
I just edited the first post and compiled what we have so far into the list... I also spoke to a mod and he said he had no problem stickying this as long as we edit our posts and get rid of the phone numbers and web addresses...
This is turning into a good thread guys... keep up the good work!
