i put in a summit granatelli walbro.

it took about 5 hours with constant vacuuming since the dremel threw metal flakes everywhere.

Yup, ive done 3-4 this way. Wouldnt do it anyother way. So many people argue that dropping the tank is the 'right' way. I just laugh. I can change my pump in 20-30 min. It takes them 4-8 hours.

Guess it all depends on your luck. My luck, i usually have to get back into whatever gets installed... so ease is key. I even made mine a flap, put 2 hindges on the top so it flips open. Ill have to get pictures up.

I like the pics above w/ the double sided tape (or velcro) thats an awsome idea too.

I've done it as well, its simple, and allows better access for future pump changes.
The only part that I thought was difficult was prying that little bucket open.

if you dont get the trap door sealed back up you will have a fuel smell more noticable when you fill up.

i used a dremall with a cutoff wheel and let the wheel do the cutting and it worked great

Did any of you put anything around the edges to help seal fumes and to get rid of sharp edges?
