I don't think your $11k offer is lowball at all. You are in the driver's seat in this market, That 13k price seems retail to me and is too high for an 80,000 mile car. I would offer even lower, around $10,000 and work your way up to the 'fair' price of $11,000. Check out KBB too. I believe you will find the numbers quite accurate on a 'private party' sale. Normally KBB is off base with F-bodies but once the mileage starts getting 'up there', then they are pretty close. Gas may be reasonable right now too but expect a price back at $4.00 a gallon by next summer. The oil companies aren't going to let gas sell at this price for very long. I'd be happily stunned if I saw $3.00 gas next summer. This is another point to make in your negotiations. Good luck!
