Default Help w/pricing - 2000 Z28 stock

Can I get some help pricing my car correctly please? I'd like to arrive at a price thats good for a buyer without completely giving the car away..

2000 Z28 - stock
113K Miles
Hard Top
Coth seats, power windows & doors..

Overall my Z28 is in good condition. There are a few things that need some attnetion (ash tray lid, driver side seat belt lost the plastic that keeps the clip in place on the belt are two examples)

Pictures an be found here.. I put it on Autotrader for $6500 thinking that wasy fair. What do you think

Good heavens, you are too high for a 'fair' conditon Z28 (sorry I don't consider it 'good' with cosmetic issues, 100k and what else???). It is soon to be a 9 year old car with over 100k on it. Realistically you should get $4,000, maybe $5,000 if lucky. Someone is going to have to put $$$ into your car within no time at all (tires?, brakes?, fluid changes? anything mechanical?) and paying your price of $6500 would be too high of a price to start, otherwise the buyer would have $8000+ into the car in less than a year probably. Certainly not worth it. Your potential buyer for that car is going to be a young driver with little cash. No loans possible unless from a family member. If you must sell, good luck!

You can get that for it with the right buyer. I got rid of my 98 Camaro with 96k that needed work for 7,300.

WOW! If you made that sale recently you are in the wrong line of work. Unless you are in sales already. A 10 year old car with nearly 100k that needs work for $7300? Impressive.

Thanks NC01TA - The Car always Ran great for me.. I don't expect the buyer to have any immediate repair costs except the mods they WANT to do.. Your pricing advise was right on the money.. Dropped the price to $5400 and got some calls but no buyers.. Dropped the price to $4600 and it was sold in 72 hours. -- Thanks again NC01TA!!

You are quite welcome! I didn't want you to get false illusions in this tough selling climate the auto industry is in right now. I wish you could have received more money for it but I try to be realistic in the true marketplace that exists today, not yesterday. We all root for our cars to be worth big money but it is necessary to put emotions aside when it comes time to sell. Easier said than done. I'd be a mess if I had to sell my 12,000 mile 'showroom' vert right now. I know what it is worth but what could I really get? OUCH!!! Can't even think about it. I went through it already with my '96 Formula with low miles that I sold. Very, very difficult. Take care!!
