ok ill ask the question that no one else seems to be asking. Why put a 325 on a 9.5" rim, i know its can be done bc of the thicker sidewall, but you are inherently LOSING tread width by putting it on a smaller rim. I'd love to see some side-by-side comparisons of the 325/45R17 mounted on a 9.5" vs an 11" rim

These things run EXTREMELY narrow. If you put them on a 11 inch rim all they would do is bulge.

they might run narrow, but how narrow are we talking, sumitomos narrow. I've seen a 295 on a 12" vette rim, now they bulged a bunch. But if the manufacturer suggesting a rim size i think one should take note, and 11" is what they suggest on this tire.

I'm talking, Sumitomo and Nitto got it on and this was their child narrow. My 275/40R17's on the front look wider than these on the rear.

Thouse 17s look really good, I've been reading about how impressed alot of people are of them over other DRs for street/track performance.
I just got the 275/55/16 MnH DRs 28.0x9.5x16 and they look really good. They just changed that PN and size from a 9.8 or somthing section width to 10.4. Old PN was RODO8 New is ROD18. Getting them mounted tomorrow, I'll post up how they are at the track.

There some more info on that size I put here.
Witch 16" DR hooks better??

How come stockers run 30's? How come I got a new personal best with my 390's first time out?

I'd like to get 350 OBO. I just wanna break even when I buy the Toyo's. They aren't very old and don't have many miles on them. I can get you some pics tomorrow. When I pull the car out of the garage.

Yeah those 335 Hoosiers are sick. I wanted to get some but I wouldn't want to get caught in the rain with nothing more than two lines going down the middle. LOL

If I remember right, I think those are 17x12's.

Although they are narrow, they hook great. That's what I bought them for. It ain't a beauty contest, it's a drag race. I'll buy them again. Had a 1.502 short time last fall.

On 11 inch Boyd's:

On 11 inch ZR1s:
