no i did not get them with tires. i have my MT 325/50/15 sitting back home. I am lucky and get them for 150 brand new for the pair through a good hook up i have. And yes the date keeps getting pushed back by the manufacture. Not sure if it is so they have the quantity produced to meet the demand before they start shipping out. That way once they start shipping them out they wont go straight to back order. Just my guess though

I doubt it. I know my old Greg Welds were heavier than my Prostars, depending what kind of revisions they did.

still waiting on race star industries to release them. My car will be running in a week or two and still no wheels to go with it. All my suspension is going in now and my tune is on it way. Looks like i might be rolling on stocks for a little bit longer than hoped for.

Well i just got off the phone With Mike from Race Star Industries. He just told me that the wheels are being produced right now and should be arriving in Kansas City at their shop either the third or fourth week of November. He said that he has personally test fit 5 or 6 LS1 f-bodies and all have fit without issue. These wheels include the 15x8 and the 15x10 with the according backspacing. He said that the revisions on the wheels consist of the spoke being redefined a little more, and the barrel (or hoop) being tuned the opposite way to clear the brakes. This means the way the Greg wheels were designed with the drop of the barrel was on the outside of the face and then it was level with the face causing the issue with brakes. Now the lip is level with the face and the inside of the barrel drops down to accommodate for the brakes. Mike said that he is very familiar with ls1tech and he has came and read post about people being skeptical. He said that he knows that this is due to the promises of the Greg Welds being released and never were. He said at the time of Greg's death himself and Mike were in the proses of redesigning the wheels and were brought to a halt due to the death. The family did not wish to continue the business after that. He says thank you for all the interest in their product and the reason it is taking so long to be released is due to making sure that this will fit our cars without any issue. He said to assure everyone that this is happening and that they will be being shipped out next month. Hope this helps everyone out and as soon as i get mine in i will be sure to post the pictures up.

Also for who is interested they have release the wheels to the public a couple of weeks ago at a local track in Kansas City. They will also have a booth displaying the wheels at: IIRC, PRI in Orlando, Florida At their booth in December.

Im ordering new rears when they come out so I can put unground calipers back on just for PC of mind. But they are damn sexy!!!

BTW my GW feel way lighter than my prostars did. Probably has alot to do with also switching to QTPs from MT Drs though.

O hear ya, i only ground one down for a test fit and said screw this. I might also upgrade to strange brakes and will no longer be worrying about this. I think the only thing that i do not like about the new ones are the center cap. I really like the center cap of the greg welds. But o well, at least these will fit without issue.

I wonder if I can just swap the center caps? I really dont think my calipers would break since they dont have that huge window like the LS1s do, and still seem strong.
Im also switching to drag brakes and dont want to grind them at all.

ya. From looking at them i was thinking that they just have the hole in the middle and the cap come through them like on the prostars.

But you are right. I just got on the website and they screw in like the gregs. I did speak with mike from race star industries and he said that you can buy caps with their logo on them to put on the front skinnies. I had completely forgot about this.
