Default Need an opinion on these rims

I can get a set of 4 of these rims with tires for $225. Whaddaya think? They're 16 inch rims off an older Z28. I drive a 2000 Z28, these came off a 97 or 98 Z28.

Save up your money and get some 18's or atleast 17's, those are bogus.

Yea dude, who cares what other people think. Those are pre-98 wheels by-the-way. I cant remember ever seeing chrome ones, they may be aftermarket....

They were the "standard" wheel for ALL the 93-97, maybe even '98 cars. My '96 Z-28 came with them as the standard wheel, although I think the chrome finish may have been optional.

i would score them and keep them for spares..never know whats on the road hazard wise and a spare set is always a good deal to have..and if you need to you could put them on w/ dr's for the track..and keep your other tires..

They're referred to as "salad shooters". I still have mine in storage but they're not chromed. Being 16 inch in diameter they are good for street / drag radials because of the taller 50 % aspect ratio.

Personally, I like them and think GM hit a homer (sic) when they designed them for the Z28.... I truly appeciate modifications of almost all kinds and the chrome option for those wheels are great imho. If you buy them, keep them and show them on occasion. You'll have a classic wheel that makes your car different from the throng.
