I'm sorry, I don't even know what the stock offset is, so I will just ask. My friend is trading in a ’93 vette. It has the 285/40/17’s I have an opportunity to get these for nothing. We will just swap before he trades. Will these fit my stock chrome wheels from my SS and will my 275/40/17’s fit his stock wheels? I really don’t want to take a hammer to my car. I need to move on this deal quick, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you talking wheels and tires or just tires????
Stock Camaro offsets are around 50 mm to 56 mm.
Stock 93 wheels should be a 56 mm offset (from what info I've found)
The tires are completely interchangeable, the 28's are going to a be a little taller and wider than stock, but the diff is pretty negligable . . .
ok, im tired of readind through all of these post to try and find the answer im looking for. So, i hope this gets looked at way at the back of this thread.
I know nitto's run narrower than othr tires but is still unsafe to run 315's on stock ss rims, but what about on a 10 inch rim? i found a good deal on these.
american racing rims from a friend of mine and they are all 17x10. i was only going to buy them if i could run 315 nittos on them. i know several guys who i can only assume are lucky because they run 315's on stock zr1's and have never had a problem. but i wanted to make sure it was safe. so, can some one fill me in.
i saw the first page post that gave ranges for rims, but i dont understand why 9 inch tires have the same max tire size as a 10 inch tire.

Technically no, manufacturer recommends an 11" wheel.
I'm considering running 17x9 with a 25mm offset in the front, and 18x10 with a 41mm offset in the back. I'm pretty sure these will fit but I want to make sure the fronts wont stick out. Also any tire width recommendations for front and back? My car is not lowered and I'm looking for a larger diameter than stock wheel/tire combo to fill out my wheel well a bit.
I have to ask. I want to change the wheels on the 2000 SS convertible. This change needs to be done in a cost effective way so I will not be going out for Budniks or, dare I say, HREs.
I've seen in Super Chevy Performance Wheel Outlet but they do not reference a website. I'd be more than happy to utilize a sponsor also.
They, PWO, have three five spokes that I think I like.
The Y2K at 18x9.5
The Milan at 18x9.0 (I think)
The Vortek at 18x9.0
All three of these run between $250 - $260 a piece.
With no insult to those of you who have them, I like the Y2K the least only because the spoke come all the way out to the front of the rim.
My questions are.
1. Do any sponsor sell these rims? (T Byrnes sell Y2Ks but not the others)
2. Will these particular rims fit on my car?
3. I'd be happy to hear suggestions on tire size and type.
Rick.

I wanted to buy some american racing hopsters and these are the offsets +46,+32,+28mm which one of theses offsets look flush in the front and look flush in the back. I have a set of c5 and the front are a little in the fender and my friend has a set of zo6 rims and his front ones are flush with his fender.
