Default Why does my TTM Chrome 10.5" rear not look right with the 315 sumitomos?

Why do these not look right compared to other peoples I have seen on here with the same style rim and same tire? Look at the lip of the rim it looks like it sticks way out. I hope I dont offend anybody but this looks like some kind of crap you would see on Juan or Juilios car.

I know I know I need to lower the car now but that has nothing to do with the way the lip of the rim sticks out

I see what you mean. I'm not sure what to tell you. Interesting. Have you checked the tire pressure?

sumitomos are narrow for a 315, but I have them on an 11" TTII and they don't sit quite like that on the rim. Try to get a closer picture of the lip of the wheel and where the bead is at. I know all the driftarz stretch their tires out like 245 on 12" wheels and crap. They would be stoked about it lol.

Do you have an adjustable PHB? Do they stick out on both sides?

Im talking about the lip of the rim sticking out past the tire itself. Not the tire sticking out past the fender if thats what you were getting at? My car is bone stock except for exhaust, lid and shifter.

The sumi's do not have the wheel saver lip like many other tires do that will actually cover the lip edge of the wheel.

They don't look like thier fully seated on the rim. See what the max seating pressure is and air them up to that. If that don't do it take em back where you got them mounted and point out your concern. I'm like you, that don't look right.

Ah my bad. I am going to guess it is because Sumitomos run small.

Ok thanks this is what I was looking for. Its funny how many people run the sumitomo 315 and I have yet to hear anybody say anything about this problem. I can only immagine what it looks like on an 11" wheel.

like stated above i had a customer who had the same "problem" but its not one. its just a skinnier tire even though its a 315. we had just put 315 KD's, which look wider on the wheel, on another customers car and thats why he asked

I been looking for some315s too, maybe going with the vrediestiens or Kumhos or Nittos is gonna be more the way I go. I been looking ot give the Sumitomos a fair shake if that is how they look on a 10 inch hate to see how bad it is on an 11 inch rim.

Are you concerned with the wheel past the fender or the tire not seating all the way on the rim?

I am concerned about the lip of the rim sticking so far out from the sidewall of the tire. It doesnt look right at all. The rim and tire doesnt stick out past the fender. Thats a perfect fit all I need to do now is lower the car.

From that shot yours looks correct to me unlike mine. What the heck is wrong with mine? Does the chrome TTM have an extra thick lip on them? My fronts looks normal like they should but the back is messed up looking.

Here is a better picture to show what I am talking about.
