This article applies to the 4th Gen Camaro and Firebird (1990-2002).

A dead tail light bulb puts your safety at risk when driving at night, as other motorists cannot see you. While law enforcement will generally let you off with a warning, they can stop and cite you for a dead tail light. For a couple of bucks, you can replace a busted tail light and avoid a costly ticket.

Before you can replace a faulty tail light, you'll first need to pop open the hatch on your 4th Gen Camaro or Pontiac Firebird (1990-2002). Once you have gained access to the back of your vehicle, and have peeled back the felt liner that lines the back end of your car, you are now ready to remove and replace a blown tail light bulb or bulbs.
