Vengeance Racing Camaro ZL1 VR1100

If you're like us, you're probably tired of the Dodge guys getting all of the horsepower glory lately. With the Hellcat and Demon running around making gobs of power, Chevy guys are left to their own devices when it comes to building something comparable. But now Vengeance Racing in Cumming, Georgia has a solution for you, if you happen to own an already stout 2017 Camaro ZL1.

Reaching That Magical Number

Building 1,000+ horsepower LS powered rides is nothing new for Vengeance. In fact, they've built quite a few cars producing that magical level of power using everything from nitrous to turbos. But for their Camaro build, Vengeance uses a Procharger F-1A-94 supercharger pumping out 19 PSI to get the job done.

The List of Goods

In addition to the Procharger, Vengeance installed a variety of parts to help the already fast ZL1 produce some impressive dyno numbers. They include an air-to-water intercooler, Late Model Engines billet intake manifold, Vengeance Racing CNC Ported LT4 cylinder heads and stage II cam, AlkyControl dual nozzle methanol injection, Kooks stainless steel long tube headers, x-pipe, and axle-back exhaust system, and a custom ECU calibration. Oh, and they ran it all on C16 race fuel.

The Results

With the beastly black Camaro strapped to the dyno, Vengeance laid down the best performance run of 1,045 horsepower at the wheels, with just over 786 lb-ft of torque. Do the math, and that's close to 1,200 horsepower at the crank. In a car that already runs 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, it's pretty much a guarantee that the CR1100 is going to be wicked fast. If you can get that power to the ground, that is.

Perhaps the best news of all is that you can order up a VR1100 of your very own. All you need is a brand new Camaro ZL1 and an undisclosed amount of cash to add on top of that $62,000 ride. But for a turnkey build that's capable of putting those Dodge boys in their place, we wager that it'll be worth every penny.
