1968 C10 LS3 With a Sweet Set of Wheels

The ultimate C10 build!

1968 C10 built right!

When you are the General Manager of MHT Wheels, you have the unique opportunity to build some of the craziest custom wheels that were ever made. Kyle Williams took advantage of this opportunity by building one of the most eccentric 1968 Chevy C10's in existence. Like many early full-size truck builders, Kyle got his start in mini-trucking. Once he had the opportunity to build his dream project C10, he handed the truck over to Geoff Paloposki who started work immediately on the chassis by making a heavy step-notch over the rear axle and boxing the frame. After having Geoff complete a lot of the chassis work, the owner decided to move the truck to Harold Hopink of California Rod and Custom to finish the vehicle. After a new core support and inner fenders were custom fabricated, the project started to gain steam!

Sweet wheels!

The centerpiece of this build are these amazing custom wheels. It is extremely difficult to pull off colored wheels, but this C10 sports these wheels with class! The wheels are US Mag's 3-piece forged M-ONE in a one-off Lollipop Red and they really set this truck apart. Although Kyle saves money on the wheels, he decided to build the entire truck around them which is not for the faint-hearted. We are glad that Kyle was bold and decided to mount some of the most radical wheels we have ever seen on a C10.

Immaculate engine bay!

What would a resto-mod be without an LS motor? The LS3 is mildly modified with a COMP Cams XFI-series XR265HR cam, custom rocker covers, and matching Lollipop Red paint! The engine bay is completed with a PRC radiator with 16-inch SPAL electric fan and Sanderson 1 5/8-inch headers. The exhaust consists of 2.5" dual piping and Magnaflow mufflers. A GM 6L80E transmission, custom driveshaft, Eaton differential, and Dutchman 9" Rear end with 3.73 gears complete the driveline to make this a reliable cruiser.

Perfectly executed interior!

The interior is executed perfectly because it looks simple at first glance, but a more in-depth look reveals tons of amazing details. The shaved stock dash is outfitted with a set of Dakota Digital VHX-series gauges and a trusty Vintage Air air conditioning control panel. The front bench seat began life as two Glide Engineering bucket seats which were merged into a bench. Kyle hopes to cruise in this truck with his wife and newborn son. The door panels were hand-crafted and Kyle says that he was even given five different choices for the red-stitching in the seats. This interior is as custom as it gets! A Billet Specialties Fury steering wheel with Lollipop Red accents completes the interior.

Proper stance!

Take a moment to admire the stance of this radical C10. The fronts suspension consists of Scott’s Hot Rods Superslam crossmember with unequal-length control arms to give it that lowered look. The rear suspension consists of RideTech Strong Arms, adjustable dampers, and AccuAir air springs. The finishing touch is a Baer 13-inch brake kit to bring this C10 to a stop in a hurry!
