What is the Holley LS Fest?

The Holley LS Fest is the ultimate celebration of the LS and LT engines produced by GM. Over 15,000 LS enthusiasts have been attending the LS Fest since 2011 and the event continues to grow and get more insane every year. The event is held at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the home of the Chevrolet Corvette. Although there is a large car show on the premises, the majority of entrants arrive at the raceway to push their rides to the limit by running them at the dragstrip, autocross, or road course. If you want to watch fully built racecars test the capabilities of their drivetrain, check out the on-site chassis dyno. Beyond the amazing cars on display, dozens of vendors line the event premises to promote their latest offerings and services. If you love anything LS related, you cannot miss this event!

Autocross

Perhaps the most competitive event at LS Fest is autocross. Here you will find a range of the most radical pro-touring builds along or even stock cars competing for the fastest times around the course. It is truly amazing how well the muscle cars handle with the extensive modifications made by the owners. Your success in autocross will largely depend on your driving prowess, instead of how much power your car makes. Some of the fastest times are in lightly modified cars with an excellent driver that is able to push their car to the absolute limit. Autocross is also accessible to any enthusiast as it is easy to learn and doesn't require any prior experience to start. At the end of the day, everyone is there to have fun and the more experienced drivers are happy to give tips to the new drivers.

Drag Racing

Sometimes the classic straight-line pedal-to-metal action of drag racing is the most entertaining to watch! The LS motor is infamous for being swapped into nearly every car known to exist, and many of those builds turn into drag cars. Therefore, you won't find a shortage of Mustangs driving around with an LS engine and killing the competition. Many event sponsors also bring in their drag car builds and put them to the test in front of a massive crowd to boast their shop's capabilities. Drag racing is one of the most intense motorsports activities to watch because the cars are pushed to the absolute limit to edge out their opponents.

Road Course

The road course is the ultimate proving grounds for any racecar because it must be able to handle well and go fast in a straight line to set the fastest lap times. Therefore, these builds often address every component of the vehicle to ensure reliability and performance for an extended duration on the track. Road course wheeling also requires extensive driving skill as tiny differences in driving lines can make the difference between a record lap time and an average lap.
