Bagged and brash this E46 is polarizing, to say the least. Let’s look at how it was modified and see what makes this BMW stand out.

Green with Envy

I have a feeling this is one of those love it or hate it builds. To say this car is eye-catching would be like saying watching a car accident happen right in front of you is attention-grabbing. This thing screams in your face and that’s before the ignition is ever turned over to fire up all 8 cylinders of American goodness.

More Madness

As if the paint job wasn’t crazy enough this build churns out 550 horsepower which doesn’t exactly make it slow. Added to that is the fact this power comes in the form of a Vortech supercharger which means it's going to have plenty of torque down low that holds steady into the mid range. Enough power to match the bonkers outward appearance? Absolutely!

Rocket Bunny Rabbit

Over fenders is a fad that is either slowing down or accelerating depending on who you ask. The look suits this particular E46 in that it compliments the outlandish appearance of the rest of the car. You couldn’t just leave the stance of a car like this alone and have it looked OEM now could you?

Riding on Clouds

Well, more like air. Air Lift was chosen for this build in an attempt to focus on ride quality while still giving the car ground clearance and some performance enhancements. Bags are becoming ever more popular on builds that blur the line between show and street. There are always trade-offs between performance and comfort. Sometimes bags are the best option for what the owner’s intended use is.

Overall Impression

This car leaves you shaking your head in the best possible way. It’s fast, looks absolutely absurd and would be impossible to miss in traffic or at a track day. If you were to park it at a Cars and Coffee event or a SEMA booth it wouldn’t look out of place in the slightest and that is something not many builders can achieve. Hats off to one of very individual E46…until next time.
