Camaro: Fuse Box Diagram

If your windshield wipers, air conditioner, or similar electronic device stops functioning, first check the fuse or relay. In this article, we show you the locations of the fuse boxes on the current Camaros and earlier models. And we show the function of the various fuses and relays so you are familiar with this part of your car in case of a problem.

This article applies to the Chevrolet Camaro (1990-2015).

A combination of fuses, relays, and fuseable links protect the electrical circuits in your Camaro.

Current Model Camaros

The current Camaros have three fuse box locations: one to the left of the steering wheel, one under the hood, and another in the trunk.

Interior Fuse Box

Locate the interior fuse box to the left of the steering column, on the dash board covered by a panel.

The interior fuse box is located under a panel to the left of the steering wheel.

Helpful Hints

What a Worn Fuse Looks Like

You can tell a fuse is blown by looking at it. The metal inside the fuse is no longer one piece but two.

Good fuse on the left, blown fuse on the right.
Figure 15. Good fuse on the left, blown fuse on the right.

Quick Relay Test

Since you can't tell if a relay is blown by looking at it, you can conduct this simple test.

  1. Remove a non-critical relay, such as an air conditioner relay or radio relay of the same amperage from its position in the fuse box.
  2. Remove the suspect relay.
  3. Place the non-critical relay in the position of the suspect relay.
  4. If the connect is OK with the temporary relay, you know you have a bad relay.
