Improving Upon Perfection

The 1969 Camaro is one of the most beloved and iconic designs in automotive history, but that hasn't stopped a select group of folks from trying to make them better. That's certainly the case with this ultra-dark '69 we spotted for sale over at RK Motors. And it's safe to say that this pro touring machine certainly accomplished that mission, too.

Smoothed and Shaved

It all starts on the outside, where this Camaro was massaged and hammered to better than new condition. Pretty much everything that got in the way was shaved and smoothed, much like a street rod. And once all that was finished, every single inch of this Camaro was covered in two-stage black paint.

Tasteful Interior

A fully custom interior adorns the inside, and includes Cipher Auto seats and harnesses, a fifth-generation Camaro console, a custom dash, TMI side panels, Vintage Air A/C, a Kenwood stereo system and a vast array of AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges. A roll bar, molded headliner, billet foot pedals and Grant steering wheel mounted on a tilt column round out the tasty package.

Hold It Down

The suspension of this '69 Camaro has been fully rebuilt as well and includes niceties like tubular control arms, subframe connectors, coil-overs, and a Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear clip. Wilwood 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors help slow the whole thing down, while BC Forged wheels hold a rather large set of rubber that measures in at 275/35ZR18 up front and 335/30ZR18 in the rear.

Proven Power

The classic Camaro is powered by a modern 6.0-liter LS2 mill that produces over 400 horsepower for a mild but effective setup. The engine is dressed to the nines, however. And it features a few performance goodies including a FiTech throttle body, rectangular-port 823 heads, a larger cam, and Dynatech long tube headers.

Backed Up

Behind this modern mill lies a beefy Tremec six-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch, which sends power back to an equally beefy 12-bolt rear end. Throw in other modern amenities like power steering, and you've got one sweet driving classic.

Got It All

It's pretty clear that a good deal of time, effort, and cash went into making this '69 Camaro the best of the best. Which is also why the asking price is quite high at just a hair shy of $140k, too. But if you're looking for a sinister ride with all the amenities of a modern vehicle, this thing's quite literally got it all.
