Caravaggio Gives Z06 C7 Big Time Luxury and Power Upgrades

If you're still a fan of the C7 Corvette, you'll love what Carvaggio is doing to keep them relevant in today's C8-obsessed world.

Remember Me?

Right now, everyone is laser-focused on the all-new C8 Corvette, which is fair. After all, we're talking about a truly revolutionary vehicle that redefines America's sports car in an entirely new way. But let's not forget that the outgoing C7 is still an excellent machine capable of strong performance. And, it turns out, quite a bit of luxury.

Power and Luxury

Canadian tuner Caravaggio Corvettes, for one, hasn't forgotten about the C7. In fact, they're busy building souped-up and ultra-luxurious versions of the car to sell to the general public. Their latest creation is a take on the Z06 model, which they've given more power and restitched the interior to provide a much nicer experience in the cabin.

Fine Threads

Obviously, most people's main gripe about the C7 (and previous gens of the Corvette) is its cheap interior. Thus, Caravaggio addresses that problem by transforming it into a high-quality work of art, complete with a host of fine materials. That includes custom Linen leather seats, with the rears, finished in Nero Marone to match the interior and exterior trim.

Many Materials

From there, there are a number of materials and finishes present that work together seamlessly. They include things like matte silver seat bezels, Marone Alcantara carpet and custom Linen leather and Marone Alcantara floor mats, all with custom linen stitching throughout.

High End

Most of the rest of the interior is finished in Brownstone and Linen leather with contrasting Brownstone and Linen stitching. Even the thumb grips on the steering wheel are designed to mimic the styling of those you'll find on high-end European exotic cars, which is a nice touch indeed.

Custom Exterior

As you might imagine, Caravaggio will finish the exterior of your C7 however you'd like it. In this case, the Corvette is painted Marone Metallica and features a host of custom carbon fiber trim. The original carbon flash bits were also painted Nero Marone, with the brake vents, rear quarter vents, A-pillars, and headlights painted to match the body color.

Power Bump

To match these handsome looks, Caravaggio also addresses things under the hood. They swap out the stock supercharger pulley, give it a tune, and install a cold-air intake and stainless-steel exhaust. The resulting mods bump power from 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque to 730 hp and 730 lb-ft, an impressive gain for simple mods.

Moving Upscale

Ultimately, Caravaggio makes the C7, well, a bit more upscale for those wanting a little more from their Corvette. And personally, we find these changes to be particularly welcome, especially in regards to the interior. Above all, however, they've proven that the world isn't quite ready to shovel dirt on the C7 just yet.
