The merits of this gorgeous Jeff Hayes build stand on their own. The beautifully restored and modified 1967 C2 Corvette is about as close to perfection as one gets. But what's even more interesting about this auction-bound restomod is that it has a rare direct sale comparison. That's right! An identical Jeff Hayes build was sold earlier this year for a whopping $715,000.
Churning Them Out
It's not every day we come across a replica of a noteworthy build. It's only natural, though, given Hayes's work rate through the years. Since 2007, the builder has been responsible for some jaw-dropping Corvette projects. So it would have only been a matter of time before one of these designs were given a reboot.
Magnificent Combination
Sporting an attractive blue silver paint hue, extra-large staggered Schott wheels, and an exaggerated side-exit exhaust, this '67 convertible is a heart-stealer. The light exterior colors are complemented nicely by the creme interior trim. Under the hood of this beauty, one can find a trusty LS3 V8 engine.
The Experience
It's quite the experience. With the beautiful body lines of the C2 Corvette visible through the windshield, the driver is surrounded by high-quality materials. The classic essence of the Corvette is still very much present, though. The motto here isn't "let's turn the classic into a modern vehicle." Rather, it's a pursuit of enhancing the character of the Corvette.
