They don't build them like they used to...

Eadon Green's Zeclat looks like it just drove right out of some 1950s automotive show and onto the road but this is not the spongy luxury grand tourer it appears to be. This car began life as a Corvette C7 but after receiving a custom exterior body it now sits wider, lower and more elegant than the performance driven car it used to be. The style of the design is based on aero cars that were created in the 1930s by French coach-builders like the kinds from Chapron and PourTout, Bugatti, and Figoni & Falaschi.

If it ain't broke why change it?

Under the hood is the same LT1 small block V8 with 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque as you'd find normally in a C7. Depending on the type of experience you'd like to have while behind the wheel of the Zeclat there are a handful of modes: weather, ECO, Tour, Sport, and Track. Available with a seven-speed manual Active ReV Match or the optional Hydra-Matic eight-speed paddle shift auto, the Zeclat will give you just what you desire.

The best of both worlds

Despite the outside of the car once you are inside you get whisked right back to the 21st century with a cabin that remains 95% stock C7 Corvette. Special touches inside include hand-stitched leather upholstery, carbon fiber accents, and polished aluminum. In addition to those, the Zeclat will have the connectivity options of Apple CarPlay, and Andriod Auto for whatever music streaming service you prefer.

Built from new composites

The Zeclat will undoubtedly draw comparisons to the British Morgan with the elegant yet simple lines that encompass this modern interpretation of old-world luxury. The vehicle is comprised of aluminum and carbon-nano composite paneled chassis as well as a lightweight carbon fiber bodyshell.

If you're feeling fancy

The use of lightweight materials has enabled the Zeclat to have a near 50/50 weight distribution that is complemented by an electronic limited-slip differential and performance-oriented traction control for keeping things from going sideways... in a bad way. The fact that this very fancy looking car still has launch control is enough to make us wonder if we'll ever see one of these at a drag strip or doing red light burnouts?
