The Numbers

The model pictured above is one of 1,336 Chevelle SS' produced in 1971 with a 4-speed transmission and cowl induction. It's now up for auction and comes with the original build sheet.

Drivetrain

Propelling this beauty is 454 ci LS5 engine. This V8 unit pumps out an impressive 364 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft of torque which all runs through an M22 4-speed manual transmission.

Laying it Down

Delivering all this car's power to the asphalt in as smoothly as possible is a 12 bolt 3.31 Positraction rear end. Keeping things somewhat under control through the bends is this model's F41 suspension.

Interior

This Chevelle's interior hosts one of its most interesting features. It's been fitted with rare code 715 Antique Light Sandalwood coated fabric bucket seats. It also has deluxe seat belts and an AM radio with a tape player.

Restoration
