Classic Chevy Truck

In the realm of customized GM trucks, another distinct 'Rounded Line' C/K series creation has emerged, showcasing a plethora of modifications bound to captivate truck enthusiasts. This 1985 Chevy K20 Silverado features alterations such as body-color grille centers for two-ton models and optional cast-aluminum wheels. This beauty was recently auctioned off on Bring A Trailer.

Two-Tone Goodness

Acquired in 2020, the truck underwent a comprehensive refurbishment, both inside and out. The exterior now boasts a striking dual-tone red and black scheme, complemented by chrome bumpers, tinted windows, custom headlights, taillights, and a dual exhaust. Interestingly, a novel addition is a supplementary bench seat designed for the truck bed, although its appeal to potential buyers remains uncertain.

Powerful Stance

Sporting 20-inch wheels with Kanati Trail Hog A/T-4 tires, this K20 Silverado showcases an elevated suspension, exuding a commanding heavy-duty presence.

Cozy Cab

Inside, the cabin exudes sophistication with red leather upholstery, accentuated by black quilted inserts extending to the door panels. Creature comforts include air conditioning, power windows and locks, a four-spoke steering wheel, digital fuel level gauges, a Kenwood stereo, and an audio setup comprising a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, Kicker, JBL, and Polk speakers.

LQ9 Swap

The centerpiece of this customized truck is its robust powertrain – a 6.0-liter LQ9 Vortec V8. Enhanced with a dual air intake, FiTech fuel injection, tubular exhaust headers, aftermarket camshaft, Edelbrock ECU, and a striking red engine cover, this powerplant not only delivers on aesthetics but promises impressive performance, although exact figures remain undisclosed.

Sold!

Transmitting power to either the rear or all four wheels is a four-speed manual gearbox equipped with a dual-range transfer case. When the auction closed on Sunday, the highest bid was $23,000 flat. And given the thorough nature of this build, we'd say the new owner got themselves a decent deal!
