Fresh From The Front

Meet this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro head-on and prepare to be amazed. Its Black PPG paint was applied by Steve Sheets at True Colors in Brighton, Colorado. The Black Pearl SS stripes, LS7 Emblems, and rear quarter gills have all been airbrushed and finish this muscle car's aesthetic off perfectly. To keep everything neat at the front, the license plate holder has been removed.

At The Rear

The back of this Camaro looks just as neat as its front thanks to Fesler Billet tail lights and narrowed and tucked bumpers. Dig a little deeper and you'll find an amplifier in this model's trunk.

Powertrain

Under the hood sits an LS7 427 crate engine fitted with a Schwartz Performance kit. This powerplant pumps out 635 horsepower and 605 ft-lb of torque - more than enough to plant a smile on your face. The unit has a bigger cam, valve springs, retainers, ARP engine bolts, and a tweaked computer. All of this car's power is sent through a T56 6-speed manual transmission with an oil cooler and circulating pump.

Interior

Open the door and sit into this car's Corbeau CRI seats with pump-up bladders. From here, you'll be greeted by a custom Detroit Speed dash along with billet knobs, switches, and a/c vents. All of the driver's information is displayed through Auto Meter gauges. The whole experience isn't exclusive to the driver, however, the rear seats have been customized to match the front.

Safety First

Safety comes first in this Camero. It's been fitted with a fire system that has nozzles at the engine bay, below the dash, and in the gas tank area. A roll cage, with a built-in antenna, protects the occupants in the event of the car turning over. There's even a 7-speed wiper motor!

It Handles

This Camaro should handle relatively well... for a muscle car from the 60s. It has a Wayne Due front subframe that helps keep things rigid. On the road, you'll be able to feel every pebble thanks to an Art Morrison rack and pinion steering system with Heim joint tie rods and bump steer adjustable pins. Alcoa four-piston calipers clamp down on Baer 14-inch drilled, slotted and zinc washed rotors, ensuring this model stops on a dime.

Modern Touches

This Camaro is 52 years old, but it more than holds its own thanks to some modern touches. It's been fitted with a Vintage Air system and a fly-by-wire gas pedal with a sprint booster controller. It also has an e-brake that's been moved to the center of the cockpit. Music lovers will be thankful for the Kenwood focal sound system.
